Academics & Faculty : Velammal Engineering College is one of the top reputed self financing college in Tamilnadu affiliated to Anna University,Chennai.Academic schedule and syllabus was framed by Anna University and it was circulated to all the students.College classes start at 8.30 AM in the morning and ends with 4.30 in the evening in between 40 mins break for LUNCH.We had elective paper from 3rd year onwards and we were allowed to take elective subjects based on our interests.Unit test was conducted after every units completion and we had 2 cycle test and 1 model test for each subject/semester.We are supposed to submit the assignment after each unit completion.Had atleast 1 practical session for each subject based on the syllabus.We have internet facility around the clock and also having library from 8 AM till 8PM.Easy availability of professors and infrastructure provides me a great place to enhance my knowledge and improve my technical skills.
