Placements and Internships
- KIIT has many foreign exchange programs which are a great opportunity for any student.
- Some deserving students can also do an internship during 2nd and the 3rd year from University side in well-known companies like Infosys, Accenture, Wipro etc ( basically about BTech).
- Students are also provided with a stipend.
- The placement statistics are just awesome. Last year it was 92% and 98% for computer Branch in BTech. This is all about on campus selection.
- Many like to pursue higher education and many also go for off campus opportunity.
- The average package is Rs. 5-6lakhs initially and the highest one is Rs. 32lakhs.
- Many of them get an offer from more than one company. This year 10-12 students are selected by Microsoft with a package in double digits.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- The whole campus in Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology/KIIT University is spread over 25 sq.km area.
- No shortage of hostels. Even every year number of hostels are constructed. A.C, nonA.C, 3- bed, 2- bed, single beds, with attached washrooms facility etc all, are present with different fees.
- This year mess charges are Rs. 2500 p.m.
- This is same for all hostels and literally quality of food is really good.
- They take care of sanitation, hygiene and provide healthy food. The taste may not be like 5star hotel but it's not complaining one.
- Every hostel has nearby food courts where you get various delicious items at a very reasonable price.
- Apart from inside campus just step out off of gate you will get everything you wish to eat in any range of price.
- All the classrooms are digital and centralized A.C. It provides all the comfort for students study.
- Laboratory has various equipment and best in both qualitatively and quantitatively.
- In labs, the faculty members are also very generous and helpful.
- One of the most important thing i.e super fast Wi-Fi connection in an all-over campus. That's really cool. You can access e-library too.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology also known as KIIT University is one of the flawless private University in India. Just in few years its popularity and fame spread not only over our nation but also in abroad. It provides you the platform to make your passion, your profession. Regarding the academic area, it always shows the top quality education.
- This University has its own entrance exam for the selection of its students. The entrance exam is named as KIITEE entrance exam.
- Every year more than 2 lakhs of applied for it and only a few lucky one around 50k students are called for counseling to last round.
- Here the selection procedure is same as the other counseling procedure.
Academics and Faculty
- Mainly there are two shifts in Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology/KIIT University. One is morning shift from 8 am to 2 pm and the afternoon shift is 11 am to 6 pm. This is decided by the administrative department according to branch. The shifts change every year. But doesn't matter because all the facilities provide top quality education.
- Many of are professors are from reputed IITs and NITs. They are so friendly that one can ping them for their doubts without any hesitation.
- But yes there is one thing which one may not like i.e lots of tests, quiz, and a few assignments. All these are compulsory because it carries your internal marks. Apart from these, you have your mid-Sem and end Sem.
Fees and Scholarships
- Of course, I will not say that fees are too low although it's a private Institute but it is repayable. For BTech course this year tuition fees is Rs. 1.5 lakhs per semester at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology/KIIT University.
- The other hostel fees and mess charges are according to the type of room you selected. On an average, it ranges from Rs. 16-20 lakhs for the whole course.
- Study loans are very easily available because it is one of the reputed institutes in India. They will provide you the loan form which helps you to access loan easily.
- Even they have tied up with many banks which can very easily accessible for educational purpose loans like HDFC, Allahabad Bank etc.
- The talented students get a scholarship in a various zone.
- The toppers get a scholarship of Rs. 10k, Rs. 7k, Rs. 5k from each branch every month.
Clubs and Associations
- KIIT is famous for a bunch of co- curriculum activities. Not even a single activity which you can say that is not available here. Every month it is going to organize some kind of fest or workshop or etc.
- Students have a bunch of opportunities to show their talents.

KIITEE is the entrance examination held by the KIIT University for getting admission in various branches. For my brach ie. for CSE the last rank was around 3.5k
