- Mainly companies from a core, IT, and consulting firms come every year for campus placement at Jadavpur University, Calcutta.
- The companies like Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon, tics, wiped, infosyis and much more come.
- The core branches companies like L&T, maruti Suzuki etc hire students from core branches. The consulting firms like Goldman Sachs, banks like HDFC also visit us. the indian army also comes in search of officer rank posts.
- The average salary varies from branch to branch.
- The students get average about Rs. 9 lakhs per annum.
- core branches get Rs. 5 lakhs average.
- our alumni network is very strong.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- The eligibility criteria were to crack WBJEE with 99.9% percentile to join Jadavpur University, Calcutta.
- The cut off for my course was about 600. I got 575 rank among 3 lakh students from all over the country.
- About 30% seats are reserved for state students. I belong to another state so I got a seat from the general quota.
- The lecturers are excellent and most of them are PhDs. I agree that the infrastructure is not good as other top universities but it one of the vibrant university in the country.
- The environmental balance it has been maintained from 100 years is fabulous.
Fees and Scholarships

- My fees in Jadavpur University, Calcutta is Rs. 25,000 per annum.
- I don't get a hostel. So I have to spend extra amount on food and lodging.
- The scholarship option is not sufficient around 3% students get scholarships mostly PhDs.
- The loan is needed. The banks give loan easily but not for food and lodging expenditures. The loans granted only for tuition fees.
