Placements and Internships
- Companies that come to IITB are from all the sectors that are mentioned.
- Average packages range from Rs. 7 to Rs. 10 lakhs p.a.
- The maximum package goes to around Rs. 20 lakhs p.a while minimum goes to Rs.4 lakhs p.a.
- Alumini network at IIT Bombay is quite strong owing to SARC cell at IIT Bombay.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- There are around 15 hostels at IITB.
- PGs etc outside college are quite expensive.
- Food in the mess is normal and we have several options due to number of night canteens in the surrounding.
- Another infrastructure provided by IITB is also very good.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- Admission in Indian Institute of Technology Bombay is through Gate 2017.
- Admission was directly through Gate score.
- The Cut-off for my course was under 200 rank.
Academics and Faculty
- Course work in the first semester of masters is quite hectic at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.
- Classes are from 8 am to 7 pm including few off lectures in between.
- The quality of teaching is good.
- The Very healthy relationship is maintained between teachers and students and hence overall it is a good experience.
Fees and Scholarships
- Course fee in Indian Institute of Technology Bombay for masters is really not very high apart from that master's students are paid stipends.
- There is no need to take a loan.
- Almost all students get scholarship except the sponsored candidates.
Clubs and Associations
- There are a number Of clubs in the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay eg. Abhyasika, Abhyuday etc.
- There is a huge scope for students to go out and be part of any of the clubs.
- Mood Indigo is the cultural festival of IITB and TechFest is the technical festival of IITB.
- Life at IIT Bombay is the right blend of academics and extra curriculars
