- Vasavi College of Engineering, [VCE] Hyderabad is usually known to be one of the best for placements among the colleges in the city.
- Nearly 82% of the candidates who are eligible for placements from my branch (IT) get placed.
- Top companies which come for placements are Microsoft, oracle, Acolyte, Deloitte etc.
- The average package is some around Rs. 3 to 3.5 lakhs and highest salary goes up to Rs. 13 lakhs.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- Hostels are not provided in Vasavi College of Engineering, [VCE] Hyderabad.
- There are many private hostels available in nearby places.
- Hostel fee per month is Rs. 3,500 to Rs. 5,000 based on a hostel.
- We have a canteen to serve us with breakfast, lunch, and snacks.
- Costs are very reasonable.
- We have a well-stocked library.
- Labs are equipped well too. There isn't Wi-Fi facility yet.
- Classrooms are equipped with projectors and are well ventilated.
- On an average, though the campus is small, it is self-sufficient.
Academics and Faculty
- College in Vasavi College of Engineering, [VCE] Hyderabad starts at 10:00 AM from the second year.
- It starts at 9:30 am for the present first-year batch.
- The quality and overall staff performance can be rated good.
- Projects are assigned from the second year for IT department.
- Assignments and quiz keep happening thrice for a semester.
- There will be two internal examinations and one external examination. Though they take a good care of you, you'll usually find the curriculum to be strict and intimidating, but, you can easily get through.
- On an average, it is a good place to study.
Fees and Scholarships
- The course fee in Vasavi College of Engineering, [VCE] Hyderabad is Rs. 1,16,000. Now it is Rs. 1,60,000 as claimed by the colleges.
- There are a few scholarships which will be offered, but, not many get those probably a 10 out of the whole batch.
- Not sure about loans, but, considering the good name of a college, I think banks will issue the loans easily.
Clubs and Associations
- Students from IT are enrolled and CSI and IEEE societies are conducted in Vasavi College of Engineering, [VCE] Hyderabad.
- Coming to college societies, there is SWAYAM an entrepreneurship cell focused on developing entrepreneurial skills.
- There are a few NGO groups Street Cause and NSS is there too.
- There are two main college festivals celebrated every year usually in the second semester, Acumen which is the technical fest and the other is Euphoria a cultural fest.
- The Cultural fest is celebrated well, with big names associated with the fest.
- Sports are not given that importance in the college.
- Life seems boring sometimes, but, if you organize things well, you can always have fun and fall in love with your life.
