Placements and Internships
- I have applied for a summer fellowship at IISC, Bangalore but didn't get through.
- Companies like Wipro, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, Infosys hire graduates from different streams of bachelor degree courses every year.
- Companies offer approximately 2,00,000 lakhs per annum.
- Minimum 70% of students get placed every year. -Padmashree awardee Dr Priyambada Hejmadi, Dr Pranakrushna Parija and many more eminent personalities have studied in this university.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- There are 12 hostels inside the campus of the college, the hostel fees are 1200-1500 per month.
- Many PGs , private hostels are available outside the hostel and their cost is also same as college hostels.
- The food in hostels and college is very good, they prepare it in a very hygienic environment.
- It costs close to 25-30 rupees per meal.
- Classrooms, libraries and labs are also well-equipped, dining halls arr quite large and spacious too.
- Every hostel is accommodated with wifi, also the library and some other departments are also wifi systems.
- A very large library is situated at the center of the college, academic hall, administrative blocks, sports ground, basketball, tennis court are there.
- Boys hostels are provided with gymnasiums, 24 hours security systems are available inside the campus.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- You can apply for Bsc in any subjects like physics, chemistry, mathematics, geology, zoology, botany etc. after completing your intermediate course in science.
- Online application forms are available at the college website.
- No such entrance examination is conducted for admission into bachelor degree courses, the selection is strictly based on your intermediate marks.
- Every year the cutoffs get changed for Physics, chemistry and mathematics it is close to 80% and for botany and zoology it is 77-78% approximately.
Academics and Faculty
- The class timings are quite suitable for students, it is from 10 o'clock to 2 o' clock every day.
- Mid term assignments are given to students in each semester, seminars are conducted by each department for extra knowledge of students, semester based exam system, in each year there are two semesters.
- The Method of teaching is very good, student teacher interaction is commendable.
- My experience in this college is 2.5 years and is quite exciting.
- I enjoy everything about this college.
Fees and Scholarships
- The Course fees for regular courses and self-financing courses are different.
- For regular courses, it is approximately Rs 2000 per year.
- Scholarship options are available for special category students, physically disabled students.
- The number of students who get a scholarship depends upon the number of students get enrolled every year.
- No such loans needed for lower middle class students for enrolling in regular courses, it is quite cheaper as compared to other universities, but the education system is still far better than other expensive institutes.
- If such loan is needed then there is state bank of India inside the college campus.
Clubs and Associations
- Every year students' union election is conducted every year, students' welfare association is there for the betterment of students.
- Many festivals including Ganesh puja, Saraswati puja, teachers' day, university annual functions, alumni day function, national science day, environment day are also observed in the university every year.
- National level symposiums, convocation days are also celebrated.
- In general, the life in our college is quite good and memorable.
