- LD COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING is one of the top government colleges in Gujarat. It avails with varied scope for students in technical fields. The campus is located in Ahmedabad near the Gujarat University. ACPC office is located in the LD college campus.
- The Mechanical department was started in the college since 1948. Now it has become an important department in the college, and its given as first preference. LD College is modernised in infrastructure with modern machines and equipment with the latest technology.
- Students studying in this college gets a lot of opportunity for advancement of technical fields. Separate boys and girls hostel are attached with the college campus.
- Students who get to study in LD college of engineering never regrets of its placing here but shines competitively among other colleges in the country.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- If you are from Gujarat and your ACPC rank is within say 1000, you can easily get into any engineering branch of LD. According to current engineering trend, Computer followed by mechanical are generally the first preference. So they are filled quickly.
- Rank depends on 2 things, 60% of your Gujarat board average result and 40% of JEE mains.
- I would say 85-90% average and 140 around in JEE MAIN are enough.
- The admission fee for the mechanical branch is 1500 rupees.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : My admission was from diploma to degree, as eligible criteria through diploma to the degree is through STPI. My score was 18.6/20 in which last two semester of diploma external marks of University is considered. Further, you have to fill the choice filling form of APCPC admission form for engineering. The cutoff rounds are displayed in our time was 18.3.
