- Students apply to internship and are selected too. eg. Indian Academy of Science Fellowship Programme, IIT Madras summer fellowship programme etc.
- Companies like Voonik, TCS, Zifo technologies, Zoho, CTS, AstraZeneca, TAFE, L&T etc come to our college for recruitment.
- Alumni network is quite strong with former students working in different areas of work.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- The Government College of technology is a premium institute in Coimbatore ranking 6th in the Anna university College Ranking in the state of Tamil Nadu.
- I chose to study B.Tech Industrial Biotechnology.
- The eligibility criteria are to have passed the Tamil Nadu state board exam with a typical cut off around 195/ 200 for OC, 190/200 for MBC and 170/200 for SC,ST.
Fees and Scholarships

- The course fee is around Rs 40,000 per year including course fee, semester fee,Mess fee etc.
- The state government scholarship for SC, ST, MBC, BC, Alumni Scholarship for merit students, Farmers scholarship for children of Farmers, First graduate scholarship etc.
- Around 50% of the students receive a scholarship at Government College of Technology, [GCT] Coimbatore.
- Loans are definitely not needed even for a lower middle-class family.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : 1. Students from Tamilnadu residential and have to apply and attend Anna University Chennai, counseling. 2. No entrance examination required. 3. Have to get 193.50 cut off in 12th standard.
