  • On selection for the course, the entire fees are funded by the department of space as long as one secures a score of 7.5 GPA in any given semester.
  • Mainly the recruitment happens into ISRO, a new placement cell being established to cater the needs. A pretty good alumni network with people working in ISRO, doing research jobs, MS and PhD courses in India and abroad also few startups.

  • 12 Hostels, (9 for boys, 3 for girls). There are no Hostel fees as long as you secure required GPA. The living is restricted to only in hostels, no option to live outside the college. Food is pretty good with various options of north and south Indian food varieties. Infrastructure is excellent in classrooms, labs, library, dining halls. Wifi is also available in the academic area as well as the residential area. Lab facilities are the best available.

  • The course fee is null as long as you secure 7.5 GPA in a given semester. The scholarship is available to every student in a bachelor's course. Loans are not necessary, in case one doesn't secure required GPA, the course fees are INR48000

Clubs and Associations

4

  • There are no societies as such but there are many clubs active in the college. Aeroclub. astronomy club, physics club, cinema club etc to cover technical, social, environmental aspects of life. Onam is the biggest festival celebrated along with it all other major festivals are celebrated by students. College life, in general, is good.

4 Academics
5 Fees

Academics & Faculty : I have completed first year of my stay in IIST and as a matter of fact I am a 9 pointer. Class timings are from 9 am to 2 pm and then we have labs from 2pm to 5pm, so the schedule is pretty hectic. The quality of education is excellent to bearable, some profs are really awesome and some (very few though) don't know shit about the subject.

Academics & Faculty : Academic Schedule at Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology is ok. But you have to work harder to achieve good CGPA. They will not give S grades that easily. Available courses are 1. Aerospace, 2. Avionics, 3. Physical Sciences teaching is good is concerned. The teaching is more good from 5th sem. As professors will be handling the courses. you can access the professor anytime anywhere. They are very polite.
