- Placements at IIEST, Shibpur are pretty good this year.

- The average salary figure is somewhat close to Rs 5 Lacs per annum.
- Many key companies like HSBC, MICROSOFT, L&T, COAL INDIA, PWC, MUSIGMA etc visit our campus for placement.
- Alumni network is very good and active in the campus.
- GAABESU is the alumni association of IIEST SHIBPUR and provides many scholarship and grants to the students.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- The entire admission procedure is given on the website,but I can explain it to you in brief: IIEST Shibpur takes admission on the basis of JEE MAIN rank and participates in the JoSSA counselling.
- So you don't have to fill any extra form or register for it separately. After you are allotted a seat in IIEST Shibpur and you have frozen your choice in a particular round, you have to wait till the institute announces the dates for reporting at the institute for completing your admission process(most probably 3 days before the classes start).
- Be there on the first date and complete your admission formalities (you would be guided how to do so there).
- Be as early as possible as hostel will also be allotted to you then,if you're late you may not get hostels.
- When you get the hostels you have to go there and select your rooms on the same day.
