Placements and Internships
- Well, I did my internship in embedded system from Bangalore.
- Most of the company hire students from our college.
- Mu-sigma, Wipro, Infosys, IBM, TCS, LNT, Capgemini are some of the key companies.
- The average salary Rs 3.5 lakh, the highest salary figure is Rs 7 lakh at JEC Jabalpur.
- Placement for CS/IT is 70%, for ECE/EE it is 50%, for ME/Civil/IP it is 40%.
- Approximately, in our college, JECAA is there for bridging the gap of alumni and college. (JEC alumni association)
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- There are 8 blocks of boys hostel and 2 blocks of girls hostel.
- The hostel fee is negotiable around Rs 2500/- per year at JEC Jabalpur.
- The food in college hostel mess Rs 1600-2000/- per month, PG it is Rs 1500-2000 /- per month.
- The food costs Rs 1400-2200 (tiffin or mess).
- Classrooms are in good condition but not well furnished.
- No wifi facility till now.
- Infrastructure consist of old buildings but are well maintained. The area is around 250 acres.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- In 2013, I got my admission on the basis of MP-PET marks ( Gen 115-130, OBC 100 -120 , ST/SC 60-90).
- But from 2014 onwards, admissions are carried out on the basis of Joint Entrance Exam (JEE MAIN) conducted by CBSE.
- For Electronics and Communication the typical cutoffs are, for Gen 115-130, OBC 100 -120 , ST/SC 60-90)
Academics and Faculty
- The college timing is from 10am-4:30pm at JEC.
- Minor Project will be there in 6th sem and Major project in 8th sem.
- Regular semester exams will be there alongwith midsem exams and internal marks including assignment and other classroom activities.
- Senior faculty could assume a responsibility to develop additions and modifications to the best practices list and actively transmit those practices to new faculty.
- So much cooperation can be observed between faculty and students. It's is one of the good platform where you can achieve your goal of being skillful engineer.
Fees and Scholarships
- The college course fee is Rs12500/-per semester and Rs25000/- per year at JEC.
- You can simply go for a particular scholarship (financial , category wise, green card etc ) in scholarship section of college.
- Around 50% students get scholarships. No loan is required because fee is so much less in comparison of other private institutes and if you are financially unstable, then you can go for a scholarship.
Clubs and Associations
- There are many student societies and clubs of different Co-curricular activities in the college.
- JEC debate society, Abhiyam, JEC dance club, JEC music club, KARWAAN are among those.
- Aureole (techno-cultural fest), Helix( technical event), Aagazz (sports).
- The life is awesome in the college, you can learn so many things.
- As there is no dress code, you can wear casual that is quite comfortable.
