Placements and Internships

Till date, I am not able to get into any internships at Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar.
But here a scholarship is provided depending upon academic performance.
Since the university is having good grades, therefore, many renowned companies like Tech Mahindra, TCS, Maruti come for placement drive and the highest placement is generally of Ra 6-8 lakhs per annum for Btech students.
But this is not so for the students of agriculture and veterinary as their placements reach to Rs 12 lakh per annum also.
The alumni network over here is really appreciable the students who have studied from here are today in every part of this world including all the renowned fields of respective departments and every year a alumni meet is conducted by which students who have passed from here gets a chance to meet the students currently enrolled and they develop a healthy relation among them

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

Since it is residential university each student has to reside in the hostel here.
Which is having a less room rent of RS 20,000per semester and rest depending upon diet you take which is Rs 75 for each day which includes all meals of a day.
Each hostel is provided with wifi facility for 24*7.
There are well-equipped laboratories present as per the requirement of each department in respective departments.
The library here is fabulous with a rich collection of books on all subject including the international research papers and research papers of students of the university and well-furnished spacing for students to study in there.
The infrastructure of here is suitable as lots of space is available here at Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar.

Academics and Faculty

College timing is from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm sharp at Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar.
A student can have classes in between this time depending upon the schedule given by their faculty along with laboratory time.
The lectures are conducted as per requirement of their individual credits which is almost 3 for each subject.
So it is not the way too hectic but not too reluctant though.there are two mid-semester conducted in every semester which are either of 25 marks or 20 marks depending upon assignment work students prefer.
If they choose assignment than they will get questions during classes for assignment purpose which is to submit at the last of the semester having 20 marks weightage.
The faculty over here are highly skilled which are having qualifications from renowned institutes like IITs and many others and are really dedicated.they conduct classes genuinely and a student won't have any issues regarding classes conduction and course completion.
Overall experience of mine is really good of this place.

Fees and Scholarships

Being a government university the fees of each course is easily affordable for a middle-class person.
The course I am enrolled in, takes Rs 25000 per year as the course fee at Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar.
For other courses, similar is the fees for almost all post graduation courses.
But the course of biotechnology and MCA have a fee slightly higher as these courses are not associated with the university, they are being conducted under the university.
No loans are needed generally.
A student may need a loan for MBA from agri-business as it is a management course.which will be easily available from banks like SBI and PNB and many other.
On an average out of 10 students, 5 students get a scholarship which includes a scholarship of academic performance for three students category scholarship and inspire scholarships

Clubs and Associations

Here students have societies as per their levels like PG society for post graduation students and graduates society for undergraduate students which are the main organizers of any event in the campus.
There are separate NGOs also working for poor children like CHETNA and others.
A separate stadium is present for every kind of sport other than the fields for different sports in hostels.
Every year festivals like Spardha etc are conducted along with many annual cultural festivals.
The main attraction of this university is it's 'kissan mela' which held two times annually for farmers of India which provides various methods for them to have better results in farming by technically and biologically in which students also suggest beneficiary ideas for farmers by displaying that in their models.
Since the whole Pantnagar is approximately inside the university, therefore, each and every facility is present inside the campus like banks, markets, computing facility, and others needed for daily life at Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar.
A person does not need to go out of university area for any such need.
As per my opinion, this place is soothing one for a student to live in with less noise and more breath.
