Placements and Internships

  •  IT companies like TCS, UST Global, Wipro comes to our college campus. Every year around 80 companies including sales domain, IT domain, BPO domain come to this college to hire freshers.
  • The  alumni network does not exist in Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology, [MIET] Meerut.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

  •  There are total 3 hostels, 2 boys hostel, and 1 girls hostel. One can enjoy the attach bathroom facility in some rooms and of course, student has to pay more for this type of rooms. Hostel fee for 2 rooms is Rs 55,000 and for 3 seaters is Rs 52,000 so we can say hostel fee is optimal. For any visitor like parents who visit to see their child can stay in MIET guest house which is well furnished. The mess of the hostel is not good. Mess food menu is decided every year by consulting to the students.
  • Wi-Fi facility is really good at Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology. Classrooms are good. Everything is well designed.
  • Labs are also well designed and always available for the students for any practical work and are managed well by assistants who are qualified. The Library is one of the best areas in my college. We can study in the library up to 10 pm during college days and up to 12 am during exam days. Library has all sorts of books.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

  • To get admission in MIET, one has to clear the UPSEE exam which is conducted by the Uttar Pradesh government.
  • The eligibility criteria are 60% or above in 12th-grade. One has to get a good rank in this exam to take admission into the Computer Science branch of Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology, [MIET] Meerut. Computer Science is the best branch in MIET. In order to take admission in B-tech course, students should have scored at least 35000 rank in the UPSEE exam.  

Academics and Faculty

  • The college timings in Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology, [MIET] Meerut is from 9am to 4:40pm from Monday to Friday. Students have to maintain at least 75% attendance to attend The final exam.
  • The faculties are well qualified here, they have a good knowledge about their respective subjects.
  • The quality of teaching and the faculties are very good .
  • The overall experience was good and I enjoyed studying in this college.

Fees and Scholarships

  • The course fee for B-Tech students is around Rs 1,00,000. If the student is from another region then he can use the hostel facility by paying Rs 55,000 extra per year.
  • For financially weak students scholarship is available by the Uttar Pradesh government ever year. To get the scholarship a student has to fill the scholarship form and submit the all related documents along with the scholarship form to the scholarship department
  • An average of 70% of students gets the scholarship in Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology.
  • Yes, loans can be availed from the banks by showing the bank a bonafide certificate and fee structure document issued by the college.

Clubs and Associations

  • There are 4 committees in Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology, [MIET] Meerut:

1. Cultural committee Sanskriti, this committee organizes cultural programs like drama, singing, dancing programs from time to time.

2. Literacy committee Odyssey, this committee organizes literacy events like the book fair, poem competition, etc.

3. Ahimsa, this committee organizes events which spread social awareness on topics like women empowerment, eve teasing, the need for cultural values, etc.

4. Sports committee, it organizes the sports fest ENDURA  in the college and I am a part of this committee.

  • One can spend their evening by playing billiards, football, table tennis, etc in MIET club.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : For BTech course in MIT college Meerut, the candidate generally needs pcm in 12th. The admission is done based on UPSEE exam. Admission is also done directly. The candidate just needs to pass UPSEE exam, and then counseling, after that on a merit basis, he/ she is given college. And also the candidate can apply directly in college.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Eligibility criteria was to score above 70+ in class 12th boards exam. Eligibility criteria was through UPTU entrance exam. Typical AKTU cutoff of my course is around 40,000

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Eligibility criteria of my course (CSE) is student passed the intermediate class with atleast 60% marks in pcm and 60% in english subject. Admission procedure of course : First you can crack entrance exam of college and aktu . then you can are able to get admission in CSE. 1: college entrance exam . 2: aktu entrance exam. Typical cutoffs of my course in 80% .
