  • You can do training or internship in the field of your interest during your 2nd or 3rd year. The college will provide you with recommendation letter upon request. Be in touch with your seniors to grab the opportunities. As far as placement is concerned, its 100% for the branches CSE, IT & ECE.
  • The key companies like Mu-Sigma, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, IBM visit the campus in 7th and 8th semester. From this year(2016), PSUs can also visit IITs and NITs.
  • The average package is Rs 4,00,000 per annum.
  • The college also holds alumni meet annually to maintain and flourish a strong network between the students and the ex-students.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

3

  • There are 7 hostels for boys and 2 hostels for girls which are enough to accommodate both the bachelors and masters students. Hostels are swapped after completion of every even semester. Hostel infrastructure is like that of every government college whether it is IITs or NITs. Every hostel has its separate mess. The hostel fee is Rs 1,650.
  • Non-local students cannot stay in PG outside the college. Local students can stay in PGs on parents consent and college permission.
  • The food quality in the college mess is average.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

Academics and Faculty

3.5

  • The class timings are from 9 am to 5 pm. Students have to work on a project in their final year for which they have to give a demonstration in 6th semester. Lab exams and assignments are conducted every semester.
  • The permanent faculty which includes professors and HODs are excellent tutors while those deployed on contractual basis are somewhat above average. Overall, the quality of teaching is pretty good.
  • The overall experience is good.

Fees and Scholarships

3.5

  • The course fee for one semester is Rs 65,600.
  • The scholarships can be availed by students depending upon their domicile state. Also, there are scholarships for minorities and backward caste students.
  • Regarding the loan, SBI provides scholar loan to the premier institutes of the country and NITs are on that list. NIT students can avail loan up to Rs 7,50,000 without any collateral and at a decent interest rate.

Clubs and Associations

3

  • Due to its location in a bit reserved part of the country, the clubs are active on the campus but they don't get opportunities to showcase the talents outside the college campus. Although the college organizes its tech fest called Techvaganza manually but it doesn't garner some appreciable footfall even on conducting visits of famous personalities from the valley as well as from the country.
  • The college students celebrate all the major festivals like Holi, Diwali, Eid, Janmashtami, etc.
