Placements and Internships

  • About college's placement, it is not that much but still IT, software and management companies are the key companies that keep visiting, some times mass recruiter also visit.
  • Previous batches had a good percentage of placements but right now the situation is some kind of the opposite.
  • Alumni network of College of Engineering Roorkee is at a great level and position today. They are really associated with very big and great firms.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

  • Hostels are there but not much to expectations and exposure.
  • Hostel mess is like heck, quality of food is very bad.
  • Hostel Fees is Rs 65,000-75,000 per year in College of Engineering Roorkee.
  • You don't get non-veg, only pure veg food is permitted inside the campus.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

  • Talking about eligibility criteria and admission procedure, students have to take JEE MAIN for entering not only in this college but any, and you have to get registered for Uttarakhand counselling and you can easily get this college with a less rank.
  • Also, there is a management counselling by which one can get admissions.
  • There is no such typical cut-off and particular entrance examinations for getting admissions in the College of Engineering Roorkee.

Academics and Faculty

  • The daily routine of classes is very bad, you are asked to maintain a percentage of 75. Or else you will be departed from exams and internals.
  • Marks given are also very less unless you are a bright student, or else you have to keep running after them.
  • Teachers are not that much good and the quality of teaching is poor but few faculties are very knowledgeable and helping.
  • In overall experience, once you enter College of Engineering Roorkee you will get frustrated and irritated by the faculties and classes.

Fees and Scholarships

  • The average course fee for engineering is Rs 1,05,000 per annum and  hostel fee is Rs 65,000-75,000 depending upon single or double rooms. When all of these are summed together with other fees it comes to a total of around 2 lakhs per year if you want to take the hostel as well.
  • Scholarship options are available in College of Engineering Roorkee and these are TFW and category based scholarship which you can get if you are one among these.

Clubs and Associations

  • The only thing which is best in the college is student societies, clubs and committees which make college a better place of living. Because of these, the college looks good and cheerful.
  • Different fests and events are organized by the students which are really adorable.
  • There are two main festivals on campus in College of Engineering Roorkee, one cultural i.e., ZION and other technical i.e., MANTHAN
  • Apart from these other fests are also organized which goes throughout the year.
