Placements and Internships
- Some of the key companies for b.tech in mechanical engineering are like pinnacle softwares,capgemini India Ltd.,Google,infosys and many more in my college. Average salary figures last year 2015 was about 3.25 lacs per annum to my senior batch. Highest salary figure is about 32 lacs to a girl studied in Poornima foundation which got placed in Google India. There is a good alumni network with the current students through an alumni club managed by our college through which our seniors give crucial tips to us related to our placement activity.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- The eligibility criteria for b.tech was minimum 55% in the 12th board examination according to the 'RAJASTHAN TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY'. At my time there was an examination known as RPET for engineering admissions in Rajasthan's government and private colleges. But now the selection process is according to the 12th board℅ and JEE-MAIN score of a candidate. The cutoff for B.tech in mechanical engineering on Rajasthan's Best colleges are the same as JEE-MAIN cutoff issued by CBSE.
Academics and Faculty
- The class timings are from 8:00am to 3:30 pm on Monday , Wednesday, and Friday while the timings changed to 8:00am to 2:30 pm on the rest of the days of the week. It is mandatory to work on projects in teams under the guidance of the technical staff and professors. The daily assignment is given to students so that they can work even better. The exams are conducted according to their pre-planned academic calendar. The quality of education and method of teaching in 'Poornima college of engineering' is quite appreciable. My overall experience in the college is very nice and good. I am proud to be a part of such a great institution.
Fees and Scholarships
- The course fees for b.tech in all the colleges associated with RTU (Rajasthan technical university) are same . The course fees are around Rs.75000 per year. There are many scholarships options available according to the score obtained by a student in 12th and jee main exam. A student can avail a scholarship up to 100℅ in tuition fees. The scholarship is only available for deserving students and one who is financially in the weaker state. As engineering in today's time is a costly task . So some students may need to get loans . It is very easy to get loans as there is a bank representative available in the college premises at the time you go to do the admission process.
Clubs and Associations
- Some of the student's societies are ASHRAE,ISHRAE etc and Poornima energy club and much more far beyond my knowledge. Main festivals on campus are AAROHAN , KALANIDHI,AADHAR etc.
- The college life, in general, is very enjoyable and it's a good platform to pursue your dreams.

Placements & Internships : In Poornima college, many companies offer jobs. Mock Placement drives are also there to increase the skills of students. Alumni network is much better here. The average salary is about INR 2.8-3.5 lakhs per anum, highest salary is 37 lakhs of the mechanical student placed in google of 2016 batch.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : The students who want to pursue the B.Tech course in PSG Jaipur have to complete their 12th Grade with 60% aggregate.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria are generally decided by RPET exam. I gave the RPET entrance examination for admission. I think 60 marks is the typical cutoff to get into Poornima College of Engineering, Jaipur.
