College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

The food in college canteen is unhygienic and tasteless in Daulat Ram College.

The institution doesn't provide any WiFi facility and we are not allowed to sit in the library to study from our books. There are no reserved rooms for English department. The classrooms are in extremely bad condition, unfurnished and stinking where mosquitoes brood over us.

The first cut-off was 96.5% for general category.
Academics and Faculty

The regular schedule is too packed and hectic on some days, while other days we are idle for a couple of hours. The time table must be revised. Though there is no burden of assignments as such but the classes sometimes end till 5pm, it becomes a problem for students who live at far off places.

The teachers are extraordinarily good and supportive in Daulat Ram College .

Except that the cleanliness and infrastructural issues, the college is good.

- The societies are active and the members are very much talented. All the societies organize sessions and competition at regular intervals. Several groups such as NSS and NCC hold cultural programs as well in Daulat Ram College.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : In English honors, the student has to read novels and also the history of English literature basically so that they can get an idea about the background of English literature and it will also help them to secure good mark. Also the admissions are on the basis of the cutoff.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : The Daulat Ram College, Delhi University is one of the best colleges for science & English as well! It has one of the best facilities, faculties, library, etc. and it is a part of north campus which provides ample Opportunities and exposure to the students. So, the cutoffs are really high.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria and admission procedure for B.A. Hons. (English) in Delhi University was cut-offs. There were no entrance exams in Daulat Ram College. The cut-offs for English Hons. , especially in Delhi University,go really high. The highest cutoff this year being 99% in St. Stephen's college. I got admission into Daulat Ram College when it's cut off was 92.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : Admission to DU for Humanities courses is purely on the basis of marks, through a cut off which is different for every college, which I personally think is very inadequate. There should be interviews to filter out the best of best since it's supposed to be the best govt University, Daulat Ram College, Delhi University.
