- Its a central university. There are a lot many schemes by university as well as MHRD India for research scholars. There are stipends for PhD as well as for M.Phil. students.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- I've recently got admitted in Central University of Punjab, Bathinda. In India this university has been ranked #1 in newlly founded university. I'm persuing my M.Sc. (Physics) from here. For the eligibility criteria there is an all india level entrance examination CUCET(Central University Common Entrance Test) through which I got the admission here. A total of nine newly founded universities participate for conducting this entrance test.
- Every student gets admission strictly on the basis of the marks obtained by the student in the CUCET exam.
- A certain cut-off mark is decided for each category in every course. The present pattern is that there is a paper of 300 marks for PG corses. This year the cutoff mark for the admission of General category student was 138 out of 300 marks. Here in all departments there is a skillfull and dedicated faculty in every course. The main focus of the university is on the core researh-work. Alltotal its a very nice place for innovative minds
