- There are a lot of internships available.
- Key companies from every field like IT, manufacturing,finance, marketing etc visit our campus to hire engineers.
- An average salary figure of Rs.10 lakhs per annum, highest salary is Rs.56 lakhs per annum and the percentage of a batch which gets placed is 90% .
- We have a very strong alumni network, from my personal experience I always contact them for help .
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- There are 15+ hostels here. Mess food is quite poor
- The infrastructure and the quality of the classrooms and furniture are very good.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- The Eligibility criteria at Indian Institute of Technology, [IIT (ISM)] Dhanbad is to clear IITJEE exam with a good rank.
- The entrance examination is -IIT-JEE and the Cutoffs for my course are from AIR 1 to AIR 7000.
Academics and Faculty
- The daily routine is in a proper way.
- The teaching quality is good.

- The course fee is Rs.90000 per year.
- There are many scholarship options, for example, Merit cum means scholarships, benevolent fund scholarship etc. Where one can get total tuition fee refund.
- Loans are easily available from state bank of India.

- There are associations and societies like Cultural society, music society.
- There are fests like Concetto tech fest, Srijan and Basant (cultural Fest).
- Life in college is awesome.

Academics & Faculty : Academics and Faculty of Mining engineering as well as whole of earth sciences fields like geology, geophysics, petroleum, mineral and environment is good. Academics are well etched. The curriculum is well defined and industry friendly. The daily routine comprises of two phases, morning one starts from 8 A.M. and may stretch till noon and this maily includes the theory lectures whereas the afternoon session includes (usually) practicals. There are periodic evaluation of performances by means of presentation and viva-voce. The quality of faculties especially the senior professors are great. There are many internationally acclaimed persons in the campus for guidance (mining has many ex-CMDs'of CIL as profs). The method of teaching is average. But the curriculum is not that tough and one can achieve great results with average hard work. Overall experience is satisfactory. Quality of education can be improved and faculties may be more open and supportive.
Academics & Faculty : Class timing is from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at Indian School of Mines University. The quality of teaching is good.
