Divyanshu Moriani's Review on College of Technology and Engineering

• If you are in Agricultural Engineering or Mining Engineering discipline then an internship in this college which happens for two times in four years course duration will be allotted to you by the college. But in other disciplines, you have to find an internship for yourself.
• It depends on the internship you choose if they give you stipend or not.C
• CTAE college campus placements in Mining and Agriculture branch is really very satisfactory.
• Different companies visit campus for placements in these branches like Vedanta group or Mahindra group. Also in computer oriented branches like electronics, it, computer science and electrical decent placements from TCS, Accenture, Wipro etc may be assured.
• Recently, CTAE got NBA accreditation certificate for branches like mechanical, civil, mining, agriculture and electrical.
• So, minimum remuneration in these branches from campus placements is 5.5 lakhs per anum but other than that you can expect a decent average salary figure ranging from Rs 3 to 8 lakhs per annum.
• Out of a batch of 50 students, one can expect at least 5 to 8 students will get placed in computer oriented branches and in mining 6 to 8 out of 20 students will surely get placed.
• The alumni network of this college is very strong. Each year the annual alumni meet is organized and the network is made stronger by interacting and working on improving the standard of the college also the alumni students contribute in anyway possible for the betterment of the college.

• For boys, there is a separate hostel for students from each year so in total there are 4 hostels available.
• Also, Ph.D. and scientists hostel is also there.
• For girls, there are two hostels available at CTAE.
• The hostel fee is around Rs 16000 per semester and almost 2000 for mess food per month.
• The area outside of college cam[pus is totally students area and pg is available so easily costing a little nearly 20% higher.
• The food in college is satisfactory and the canteen is also good offering all the basic elements of a canteen.
• The classrooms are well furnished and for the first year students, the lecture theaters are very modern and well equipped with projectors too.
• Labs are technology well equipped with every other equipment necessary for a different kind of lab.
• The library is really good when it comes to books because 3 to 4 books of the same kind are easily available and then you have books of other authors too for the same course making it all accessible.
• You have different sections in the library that are the newspaper room, general library and the not to be issued section in which class books are available which can be issued for just an overnight study.

dining halls are comparatively poor but one can manage to cope up with this drawback.

cs and it departments are fully wifi equiped but in other branches there is seperate computer labs available for internet access. 

• The eligibility criteria for admission in this college is as per the eligibility criteria for the entrance exam.
• Earlier admission to this college used to be via Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test i.e. RPET and only students who took RPET were open to admissions according to rankings but now admission are through IIT JEE MAIN general ranking and it is open to any student of India who has cleared the exam.
• The typical Cutoff stretch up to different parameters depending upon the category of student, the course applied, girl candidate etc. But if you have a decent rank up to 30000 you have great chances of getting a seat.
• There is a provision of first counselling, second counselling or upper shift and also a third on the spot counselling in which candidate have to appear himself and apply for the course.
• Then according to all the candidates who applied on that day, a number is allocated to you and if seats are available then you get the seat if you choose to. 

• The daily class timings are from 9 am to 5 pm according to your schedule but the library is open till 8 in the evening.
• There are projects in every other subject you study that you need to submit on time and it is really good to do more of project work so that side by side you will be having much to write in the resume.
• Mid-terms in each semester take place and their marks are added in the final report cards. then you have final end semester examinations and practical exams in each semester.
• You need to complete all the assignments of each subject prior to your practicals and assignments are as per the course or the practicals at CTAE.
• The quality of teaching is really good, The professors and the faculty are highly experienced faculty and you need to exploit them for your own benefit. They try to cover as much as possible during classroom studies and periods. The method of teaching is a white board or teaching using projectors and everything.
• The overall experience is totally satisfactory and one must go to this college if you don't have any better option so this college is a must if you need an above average college.

• In Agricultural engineering the seats are government funded so the fee is considerably low per semester around 15000 or so and also if you belong to any category you fee can be even lesser.
• Same is the case with mining engineering.
• But in other branches, the fee is Rs 30000 per semester with two semesters in a year.
• There if a provision of TFWS Tuition Fee Waiver Seat in each branch of two such seats in which tuition fee is exempted and the fee just around Rs 7000 per semester.
• There are numerous scholarship options available. Category wise scholarship, scholarship for branch topper. The 3rd-year topper scholarship of 50000 and much more.
• You need to apply for an appropriate scholarship and mostly every other student gets it if he fulfills all the requirements.  
• You can apply for loans initially for your entire college fee and once your degree is complete and you gets a job monthly installments clears that loan.
• So a loan is easily available at CTAE.

• NSS, NSO, NCC, Literary club and many other student societies and clubs are formed and students are keen to participate in all of them.
• Tech fest is organised every year.
• Sports competitions are held branch wise, college wise and the nationals.
• The life in this college is above average.
• You cannot expect an enticing college life as they show in movies.
• Being really practical the college life in this college is how you make it by exploiting all the resources available at CTAE.
