Placements and Internships

4.5

  • Key companies coming to the colleges are Amazon-IT, Deloitte-Business analyst, Ernst n Young-Business analyst, Kuliza-IT, SAP labs-IT, Wipro-IT. Among mass recruiters are INFOSYS, Cognizant, and TCS. Oher than these, the college is visited by about 60 more companies who give salary packages ranging from 5 lacs to 14 lacs.]
  • The average salary package usually nears 4.5 lacs with highest 28 lacs this year by amazon. Almost entire batch gets placed and until you have a very low CGPA there is a 99% chance that you will get a job. Talking about internships, the college does not provide any support for internships nor does it endorses it. So if you are considering doing one, be ready to lose your attendance. Though recently college was visited by Wipro for internships but the scenario is totally new.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

5

  • Infrastructure is something you will fell in love with when you enter this college. Remember, it is made by Jaypee group, the makers of Yamuna expressway, a place where you can land a fighter plane and show off to Obama, and Buddha circuit which I don't think need introduction. College comprises of 5 hostels, 3 for girls and 2 for boys. The three girls hostel have an accommodation of about 700 while one boy's hostel is a 22 story building(yes you heard it right 22) with accommodation of about 1500. The hostel is completely centralized AC. We are provided 1 GB of the daily free internet with free access to study material on the local server. other than that, We are provided food with three times unlimited food(if you want to drink 10 glass of milk no one is going to stop you) and laundry facilities. Food offered is quite god compared to other colleges. You will get the best of all the things here.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

  • Jaypee Institute of Information Technology Noida does not conduct any independent entrance examination. You have to take JEE(main) exam and apply for the same on the college website, the portal for which opens in may-June.
  • I took JEE(main) and was thus eligible for the college. Other than that I took JEE(advanced) and BITSAT. I qualified for both the exams but was unable to secure a decent rank. I was ranked 14k in advanced and 280 marks in BITSAT. You usually get this kind of students here who missed the biggies due to their luck.
  • Typically the cutoff is 60k-70k but varies each year depending on the number of seats. In the year 2014, it was 62k. In 2015 it was 72k and in 2016 it went up to 58k.

Academics and Faculty

4.5

  • The daily routine is something which I like about the college. You are free to do whatever you want. The only thing you have to worry about is attendance and college administration is quite strict in that regard. The faculty is highly educated but like an average college, they don't teach that good except a few teachers which make about 20% of the total. You have imposed projects in almost every semester so they will keep you busy enough. The seniors are quite helpful here and you will always be acquainted with the happenings of the market by their courtesy. College life is all modern. you won't ever see a stereotypical mentality. And it is free for good. Not like JNU. Here everyone comes from good family background. The college is run by all most of the army retd people who make sure that discipline is maintained along with the total freedom of students. And yes, you have to struggle for marks. Teachers kind to deduct marks deliberately so that you don't get an A+. At times you will feel that I know better than them which will in most cases be true, but keep calm and go with the flow, make them feel they are superior and they will give you the marks.

Fees and Scholarships

3.5

  • The Course fee is 3lac per year if you are considering a hostel and RS.2 lakhs per annum if you are not.
  • Scholarships are available for students who are from weaker sections of the society. No scholarships for top rankers. That is one bad thing about the college. Generally, everyone who is eligible for scholarship and has a decent CGPA gets a scholarship.
  • Loans are provided by the banks and a stall of axis bank is made available just outside the college for easy loans.

Clubs and Associations

5

  • The college has different hubs for different activities. It includes a Programming hub, Robotics hub, Graphics and animation hub, Open source developer hub, google developers hub, Electronics hub, IEEE student branch and Ribose biotech hub. Apart from these those interested in English and speaking have Parola literary hub which organizes The Joust, a debating contest and Jaypee Model United Nations, one of the best MUNs in the Delhi circuit. If you are interested in music and dance, we have a separate hub for that as well. Also, there are sports teams which take part in various inter-college events. There is a college fest which comprises of technical, cultural and sports events and a separate technical fest as well. Overall the college has a Delhi like life but a much cleaner and safer one so you will get to like it.
  • There is an easy commute to Delhi and will get even better with the Noida sector 62 metro station being constructed right in front of the college. the college has a mini store where you get all the required things and being in prime place there are a whole lot of malls and markets so it is very comfortable to live here.
