Placements and Internships
- Companies come here both for Placements as well as an internship.I got an internship at Hindustan Unilever Limited.All types of companies come here for many types of job profiles like analyst,business associates,coder,marketing,app developer and many other core companies of Electrical.
- Highest salary package from my department is Rs.14lakhs per annum this year and average package is around 5 lakhs per annum.Every year the average package is around Rs.5lakhss per annum and around 70% of students get placed in a core(average around5.5 lap) and 20% in mass recruiter(average around Rs.3.4lakhs per annum).Overall 90% students get placed every year in our department.There is an Alumni Association which provides scholarships to the needy students and its network is also quite good.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- There are 2-3 hostels for boys and girls which contain different blocks.Hostel fee is negligible but you have to pay Rs. 2000/- for food per month.
- There are lots of PGs and flats nearby to live and the cost varies from the type you want from Rs. 2000-6000.There is 5 canteen in the college and food quality is good and the price is decent and more or less same as outside.
- There are ACs in classrooms with projectors as well and both quantity and quality of labs and classroom are very good.There is a library for every department and also a big Central Library is there to issue books.The college lies in mid of the city.Wifi is there but you have to get the passwords from your friends.haha.There are digital libraries as well where you can do your internet work.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- It is one of the finest and best University of India,in fact of Asia which comes in top 15 colleges for Engineering in India and ranked 88 in top 100 Universities in Asia.You have to give an entrance exam called WBJEE in the month of April,the online form gets available around Oct-Nov.Student of every state can fill this form and no state domicile is required to get admission in this college.
- There will be tests of Physics,Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology separately which comprises a total of 250 marks and around 130 marks will get you a decent rank.For getting into Electrical as your department you have to secure under 600 rank.Around 130-140 marks will guarantee you to get into this course.
Academics and Faculty
- The daily routine is from Mon-Fri sometimes Sat also from 10 Am - 5 Pm and it depends upon your class routine. There will be one mid sem of 30 marks of each subject and Semester papers.There will be practicals called Sessions whose marks is also counted in final result and you have to give good attendance and pass in sessionals failing would lead to year lag.Quality of teaching is good.
- My overall experience is very good.It is a very good place to learn and enjoy college life.It will also enhance your skills and there will be competitions over here which your build your academic strenghts.You will also get oppotuanities to do projects and can go for higher studies and will also get good placement as well.
Fees and Scholarships
- The course fee is Rs. 2400/- only per year.Lots of scholarships are available over here and many organizations provide scholarships from time to time like ABB,FEE,Alumni Associations,free studentship etc. The average number is around 30-40% who get Scholarships.
- No, a loan is not required as college fee as well as hostel fee is quite low.
Clubs and Associations
- There are lots of societies and clubs like photographic,chess,debate etc in this college.There occurs all type of events and fast.There is also one separate tech fest organized by my department.Management is basically done by students and it is quite good.
- Overall college life is awesome.You will make good friends over here and will enjoy a lot apart from your regular studies. Faculties are also awesome,friendly and supportive.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The minimum eligiblity to apply for admission is 50% of marks in 12th PCM. I gave the WBJEE exam for admission. The cutoff for the admission is rank between 1500-1600.

The eligibility criteria are 1. The candidate must a citizen of India. 2. The student must be 17 years old for applying for the entrance exam as on 31st Dec of the year of application. 3.
