Placements and Internships

I did self-training in Pygame, a framework of Python language for game development and animation.
The key companies such as Wipro Technology, Capgemini, Infosys, HP etc. companies come for placements.
The average salary figures are INR 4,00,000 PA. The highest salary figures are INR 6,00,000 PA. Approximately 95% of students get placed every year.
The alumni network is great.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

No hostel facilities are provided to Undergraduate course students. So some students are locals, some manage in PGs in nearby locations.
Cost for PGs is little costly, INR 5,000 to INR 6,000 per month. For the room rent are concerned, they are also expensive that is rupees 3000 -10000 per month in the nearby locations depending upon the facilities they provide.
Food is hygienic as university covers several cafes and eating points. Charges are little high but the food is fine. Rupees 30 to 60 per diet.
Department is covered with high speed 11 Mbps Wi-Fi and Classrooms well established. They are fully provided with smart class technology and clean and tidy. Every floor has a lab for every batch and a library with latest trends in books relating to technology and academics. Overall the infrastructure is an overwhelming one.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

The eligibility criteria for the course in University Institute of Information Technology is through an entrance examination, UIIT Entrance Examination held every year.
JEE Mains, VITEEE, BITSAT, IPU, NDA and UIIT Entrance examination scores are considered.
The cutoffs for general category candidates is 110 out of 200.

Academics and Faculty

Class timings are 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Students are free to do any kind of projects they are interested in but on the condition that project is a valid one. 2 Sessionals before semester exams and 4 to 5 assignments are given in every subject before the end of the semester.
Guest Faculty being a little inexperienced are not able to teach well but that's fine to pass a subject. Still, students on their own hand work really hard and 95% students pass all subjects in every batch. Some of the teachers are permanent and they create exciting entertaining sessions to make things interesting and enhancing the grasping ability of the students.
Till now, I learned so many things from the teachers as well as from self-training. I think that you can learn anything you want to learn if you are dedicated to it. Respect that subject and someday it is going to respect you.

Fees and Scholarships

The course fee for Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering) is INR 90,000 with an additional amount of INR 4,000 per year as examination fees at University Institute of Information Technology.
Scholarships are given to those who are meritorious in their higher secondary academies for girls and via economic weaker section( Income less than rupees INR 3,50,000) for boys. There is a criterion of half tuition fee waiver for faculty children.
There is an availability of Education loans from nearby State Bank of India branch of Summerhill.

Clubs and Associations

Student societies such as ETSA( Engineering Technology Student Association) handles all the external and internal activities of the college to a high extent.
The main festivals are College Fest( Utkarsh ), Annual Dinner for 4th-year students and Freshers and Farewells at student's hands are taken care of. College Fest has all the technical and cultural activities for joy and exploration.
Overall Shimla is a location with exciting and wonderful spots and our college is also one of the wonders of Shimla. So, since I am from Delhi so it is like heaven for me to have my studies planned in such a location. I thank my parents for choosing this location for my studies.
