Placements and Internships

  • A lot of IT and core companies recruits our students.
  • The key companies include Cognizant, Wipro, Flor Daniel, 3dplm, Jade, Tech Mahindra, CleanMax, Hafele, Hella Electronics, Seimens, persistent, Hasan Jumma, NVIDIA etc.
  • The average salary figure offered is Rs 3.4 lakhs per annum and the highest salary figure offered is Rs 5 lakhs per annum by Hafele (Management and sales) .
  • Our college has a vast alumni network because of its 51 years of glorified history.
  • Our alumni are holding key positions in myriad fields such as academics, business and management, administration and civil services, and executive in many core companies.
  • Alumni meet is organised in the month of December is a great opportunity for the students to interact with the alumni at GCOE.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

  • Our college lags behind in terms of infrastructure being a government college.
  • There are 2 hostel buldings for boys and 2 separate for girls.
  • Girls hostel is very good and well maintained.
  • Boys hostel has also been renovated recently and it has improved abit. The Hostel fee is Rs 500 per semester.
  • Plenty of PG options are available outside the college campus at affordable prices( 1250rs per month) .
  • Hostel mess has a charge of Rs 9000 per year.
  • Library is well maintained and has a wide variety of books.
  • Classrooms and labs are also well maintained.
  • Wifi is not provided to students at GCOE.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

  • I got admission in GCOEA through MAH CET( Maharashtra Common Engineering Test) in 2013.
  • My score was 138/200.
  • I got admission in second CAP round.
  • I have done 10+2 from Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and higher Secondary Education.
  • I had a state general rank of around 5000.
  • The eligibility criteria are 1)candidate must be domicile of Maharashtra having a non-zero score in MAH CET.
  • 2) Minimum 50% marks in PCM combined ( 45% for backward classes belonging to Maharashtra only).
  • Outside Maharashtra students can also apply through JEE MAIN score.

Academics and Faculty

  • The timetable of the whole week is fixed and class are conducted regularly except for a few facilities who are not punctual.
  • We have semester wise pattern. College class timings are from 10.30am to 5.10pm.
  • 10 marks are allotted to teachers assessment based on an overall conduct of the student.
  • Faculties of our college are very experienced and provide full support to students. Standard books are referred for teaching. Projectors are used for teaching when ever needed.
  • My overall experience of college is good. It has very friendly environment for study and academics at GCOE.

Fees and Scholarships

  • My course fee is Rs 54,736 per year for the general category. It increases every year.
  • The students can avail various scholarships according to government schemes and his/her eligibility criteria.
  • The college is very supportive throughout the process.
  • The college provides scholarship to 10 students every year based on their academic performance and financial condition.
  • Other students can apply for various scholarships schemes available like PTC, CSS, EBC, minority , Backward class freeship and scholarship.
  • Our college does not have any tie-up with any bank to avail loan facilities.

Clubs and Associations

  • The college has a lot of student societies and clubs such as art club, photography club, starlit club, book club .
  • The main technical festival on campus is PRAJWALAN, cultural festival ZENITH.
  • Sports event KALPANA CHAWLA TROPHY, management event KAUTILYA are also there at GCOE
  • College life is very exciting and good.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Minimum of 60 percentage in SSLC & HSC with PCM is the eligibility criteria for joining Government College of Engineering. The students have to clear MHT CET exam. My Score at MHT CET is 137/200. Cut off is 130 AIR.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Eligibility criteria is more than 55+ in PCM in 10+2 for admission in this college MHCET entrance exam is conducted in month of  May Cutoff: 1000-5000 rank in MHCET. My rank was 4000.
