Placements and Internships
- One Internship by NBCC in summer in NIT PATNA college site.
- I didn't get any stipend.
- Numbers of IT companies visit this college, but there is a lack of companies that hire core branch.
- One PSU BPCL visits every year for mechanical & electrical.
- Average salary figure goes around Rs 4-5 lakhs per annum and the highest salary figure is R 44 lakhs per annum off campus, 90-100% students place in IT branch. Placement % is very low in core branch.
- There is a function every year in which numbers of successful alumni gather here.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- Earlier only 30% of students were allowed to stay in the hostel.
- But now it has been very improved, almost every student can stay inside the hostel.
- Hostels are quite good. The facilities are not too bad.
- The hostel fee is around Rs 12000 for one semester at NIT Patna.
- The locality of college is very bad since it is Bihar you can think about that.
- You can get PG or Rooms outside the college easily.
- The food quality is very poor.
- The mess fee is Rs 11000 per semester.
- The quality of classrooms is getting improved day by day.
- There are many smart classes now.
- Since it is Govt. college the condition of labs is not too good.
- The library is good
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- The eligibility criteria are getting a proper rank in JEE MAIN for admission in BTech(civil) at NIT Patna.
- I took JEE MAIN as the entrance examination just after 12th.
- I got All India Rank 15000 and got admission.
Academics and Faculty
- The Daily routine is fine and there is not much load on students.
- Class timing is from 9.30am to 5.30pm at NIT Patna.
projects are well done. - Exams are taken very strictly.
- The quality and method of teaching are high whereas there is no proper method of teaching.
- It is a very decent college, infrastructure is very poor except this , my college is superb.
Fees and Scholarships
- I pay Rs 41000 per year as the course fee, but the fee has been hiked by 200% by current year at NIT Patna.
- The college provides scholarship option on the basis of merit, moreover respective state provides scholarships on the basis of the category to a student.
- Least number of students get scholarship at NIT Patna.
- Loans are available very easily since it is a govt. college, loans are needed as per capacity of students.
Clubs and Associations
- There are different student societies and clubs in this college.
- Every type of clubs, association you can participate in e.g. E-cell, ASME, ASCE etc.
- There are three festivals on campus at NIT Patna.
- The cultural-MELANGE, tech being -CORONA and sports-INTRAMURAL.
- The life in college is good as other engineering colleges, here markets are very close to the college that is a PLUS point.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : All you have to do to get into National Institute of Technology is to secure a good rank in JEE MAIN and also have 20 percentile in class 12 board examination. The cut off varies for different courses.
Academics & Faculty : Its good but not the best, the infrastructure must be improved so that there may be a little bit improvement of its ranking
