Placements and Internships
- The Internships which I Did was a Marketing one.
- All top MNC'S start visiting college from your 7th semesters offering very attractive packages.
- Average salary is Rs 5-6 lacs per annum.
- Maximum salary is above Rs 25 lacs per annum
- Alumni network is very strong and well maintained by Bit Mesra.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- There are 13 Hostels which includes 11 boys hostels and 2 girls hostels.
- We are charged hostel fees per semester, which is Rs 30,000 per semester.
- Only college students at BIT Mesra are allowed to stay at the hostels .
- Mesra will be providing you the food which is charged at Rs 15,000 per semester.
- The quality of class rooms are very high.
Well maintained classes and hostels. - BIT Mesra has good wifi connections and all the extra things are very well maintained.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- You have to qualify for JEE MAINS with a Good rank to satisfy eligibility criteria of BIT Mesra.
- For my course, the cut off was around 30000 AIR .
Academics and Faculty
- Daily Routine Is very Tedious for Students especially For those who are pursuing degree in engineering and technology.
- Class timings start from 9 am till 12 noon and in the second half you have to arrive into the campus at around 2 pm and class goes on till 5pm.
- Days can be a lot tougher when you have projects and assignments.
- All these things teach you a lot so don't get disheartened by my review and yeah you have weekends to cheer yourself and get ready for the upcoming working days.
- Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi has a very beautiful campus indeed , all sorts of extra curriculars activities are conducted which you can get involved in.
- A very competent environment with seniors and juniors.
- A formal introduction will have to be given by you, being a fresher and after that college life is more fun than frustrating.
- Quality and Quantity of education provided is very good at BIT mesra.
- Teaching staffs are quite up to the mark.
- Well maintained laboraties and experimental setup's will steal your heart if you are a nerd.
Fees and Scholarships
- Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi's Course fee is Rs 2 lacs per annum which amounts to 8 lacs for the whole Course.
- Scholarship options are available if you are a top ranker in competitive exams through which BIT takes admission.
You can get merit scholarship if you score considerably high GPA in your academics. - An average of around 50 students get scholarship.
- Loans will be needed if you are middle class family member and will get it easily from all nationalised and private banks.
Clubs and Associations
- There are various student societies and clubs like Music Club, Dance Club, Dramatics Club, NSS(National Service Scheme), Literary Society, Enterpreneurship Cell.
- BITOTSAV is organised every year as the major Cultural fest and is counted in top 10 fests on campus of INDIA conducted across top engineering colleges.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : BIT Mesra has 2 rounds of admission - The first one is through JOSAA where you get a particular branch according to the availability of seats and your preference. Once this step is completed, there is an option for internal sliding where you can change your branch if you wish so but this depends on the remaining vacant seats and your JEE Mains Rank. The second round is the SPOT round which is conducted by the college for the remaining seats. You can apply through the website and it takes place after 20-25 days of the end of the first round.
