I think internship opportunities offered to my program from Maharashtra Institute of Technology was limited, only those who had contacts in the industry or references could make it to a summer/winter internship.
Placement cell is quite active and many companies came to campus for recruitment like Mahindra & Mahindra, atlas Copco, Halliburton, Shangdong, mu sigma, cognizant, JSW etc.
Average salary figures are around Rs. 2 to 2.5 lakhs/annum.
But a very few were placed in these big giants. Out of a batch of 200 students I think only 50 are placed (off and on campus included), i.e just 25% are placed.
The alumni network is huge.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

No transport facility is available at Maharashtra Institute of Technology but the infrastructure is well maintained and developed.
Labs, libraries, classrooms all well maintained.
Academics and Faculty
3.5
The time table of my mechanical engineering department was well planned. It was never a hectic full tight back to back lectures schedule.
In Maharashtra Institute of Technology some professors were extremely intelligent and had an in-depth knowledge of the subject, they were good at guiding us in career decisions too.
The electives offered were completely future-oriented industry relevant subjects and faculty was also available to teach those subjects.
Lectures were not held regularly that I think is the main drawback and it should be made a bit strict in terms of lecture attendance.
Tests and assignments should be given more weight in viva.
Fees and Scholarships
3.5
I had been admitted to Maharashtra Institute of Technology through MHT CET exam.
My tuition fee was paid by the government, I needed to pay only the development fees and university exam fees.
I was given scholarship by MH government for four years.

MIT was very supportive in extracurricular activities. It had a recreational hall and a gym inside the campus in which facilities to play carrom, table tennis, and other indoor games were provided.
Also, there's a huge playground for outdoor games inside the campus only.
MIT holds a national level sports event known as SUMMIT every September of the year.
Additionally, college annual social gathering also takes place every year during early weeks of January.
My college also organizes the Indian Student Parliament every year and National level technical event TEXEPHYR.
