Sowmya Moturu's Review on Andhra University College of Engineering for Women, [AUCEW] Vishakhapatnam

• I did my internship from Hindustan Shipyard Limited with no stipend.
• The key companies who hire from our college are Infosys,IBM, Wipro, L&T, Factset. Mostly IT companies come for recruiting us.
• Average salary is around Rs 3.5 lakhs per annum for all the above companies except L&T and Factset. The 70% students are mostly placed.
• The college had been started in 2010 so the alumini network is not that great but the limited alumini regulary visit the colleges for its functions and other official meetings when called for.

• There are no hostel facilities. 
• Lots of PGs around the campus and the cost is of Rs 3000 to Rs 5000 per month
• Food is good.
• Classrooms are good, labs and libraries should need development, wifi facility is also available 

• My college Andhra University college of engineering for women (AUCEW) has primarily 4 bachelor courses for engineering i.e ECE, CSE, EEE, Mechanical. All branches have comparitively lower cutoffs of rank. The reservation criteria also plays a major role in eligibility.
• The qualifying exam is EAMCET and EDCET( polythecnic). Eligibility criteria is to be qualified in intermediate or in polytechnic.
• The cutoffs primarily for OC are:

ECE 6000

CSE 8500

EEE 11300

Mech 13000

for my course over the previous years are comparitively very less of about 13000 in 2012, 11000 in 2013, 9500 in 2014, 9200 in 2015 and 7500 in 2016. So it is clearly evident that the demand for the college and its reputation has increased over the previous years

• Class timings are form 9am to 4pm. Second saturday being a holiday. Semester system. Assignments are regularly given to enhance the skills of the students.
• The quality and method of teaching is reasonably good and  the college has a very experienced faculty
• Overall experience in the college was extremely good. It made the learning process and understanding things on my own. The faculty does'nt encourage spoon feeding this made us more determined and serious on our studies.

• My course fee was Rs 31000 per year
• Yes scholarship and reimbursements are available for students
• In a class of 60 students around 35 students get scholarship from Government
• No need of applying for any loan as the amount is payable. As it is the government college availing of loan is also easy 

• There are not much of activities are present as the college has started booming over recent years 
• Management fests like espectra, department day are oraganized every year.
• Life in college is good for people who try to explore and try out new things alone by themselves. College provides all basic amenities which are needed for the engineering life. If the student uses the best of all the facilities the student can achieve greater heights
