Placements and Internships

  • I did my vocational training in SAIL with no stipend.
  • Most of the companies which came for hiring in my college were those from IT sector. 
  • The Average salary was approximately Rs 3 lakhs per annum and Rs 6 lakhs per annum was the highest and 98% of the batch would get placed.
  • Alumni network was moderately present in my college.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

  • There are 2 hostels, hostel fee was Rs 65000 per year. 
  • Pgs are  available outside college at the rate of Rs 5000 per month.
  • Quality of classrooms were nice, labs are well equipped. 

Entrance Exams and Admissions

  • The eligibility criteria was 60% in 10th and 12th grade.
  • I took the entrance exam COMED -K and then was called for counselling. 

Academics and Faculty

  • Class timing : 8:40am to 4:00pm, projects and assignments: 3 assignments per semester per subject 
  • Quality of teaching was moderate. There is scope of improvement in teaching.
  • Overall experience in college was moderate 

 

Fees and Scholarships

  • Rs. 1,37,000 per year was the course fee. 
  • I am not aware of scholarships offered by the college.
  • No loans are needed and hence I am not aware of the banks offering these loans.

Clubs and Associations

  • No associations except sports club were present in the college.
  • Annual fest ANANYA took place, Kannada Rajya utsav also took place once a year,other small events happened such as ethnic day.
  • College life was good overall

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria for joining KS Institute of Technology for the Mechanical course is clearing the KCET exam or clearing the COMEDK UGET exam. The cut-off for the course is less than 21000 AIR.
