Placements and Internships
- Internship period is of 6 months during fro9m th semester of 5 years degree program. Stipend offered varies from Rs. 5000 onwards, although it may vary depending on the respective firm.
- This college is the best suitable place for girls with genuine talent and skills. It has the wonderful set of faculty and mentors who are very efficient and use interesting ways to help develop skills towards designing and architectural knowledge. Architecture being a unique field, one needs to have in-built interest towards it. The college enables not only general Architecture but also Computer Aided Interior Design (CAID) which is a specialized study in Interior Designing. The college has a facility of great infrastructure, computer labs, There are site visits and case studies conducted in order to provide broader perspective towards learning. The placements are offered to firms associated with college. These include small scaled to large scale office across India and abroad.
- The salary depends on the respective firm and principal architect. There is also exchange program offered by the college, to bright students with potential.The salary will increase depending on experience achieved during and after graduation. Visiting the college to get a better understanding is suggested.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- There are two hostels given by college which offer high fees but very secure environment for girls.
- Healthy food and hygienic rooms. Although many students prefer staying outside because of high hostel fees.
- Classrooms are specially designed to give 1sq.m. area per student for comfortable working space. Individual lockers are available to store sheets and assignments. Wi-fi has been provided on every floor for free access. Corridors have class boards to display work of the class as well as to display posters regarding competitions. College library is one of the top best libraries in Pune for Architecture books.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- Eligibility criteria changes every year.
- NATA entrance test is to be given by the students which has 100 marks for Drawing and 100 marks for aptitude test.
- Being ranked as best Architecture college in Asia, the cutoffs are very high. Current cut off at college was 180/200 and above.
Academics and Faculty
- The college begins at 7:30am and lectures end by 3:00pm. But students wait back and continue till 6:00pm to complete submission on time. College is of 5 days a week. Every subject happens only once in a week. Hence submissions are given with time slot of a week per subject.
- Teaching quality is excellent. Informal discussion and any time interaction with teachers is possible. Its a very informal and fun relation between student and faculty. Lectures are conducted using digital media or traditional method.
- Overall experience is very exciting and interesting. Evey exercise is conducted in very different and extraordinary manner.
Fees and Scholarships
- The course fee currently is Rs. 90,000 per year onwards and may tend to increase in coming years.
- Off college scholarship offers can be utilized for general category students while reservation category has scholarship offered every year. Scholarship offered by TATA trust and various such trust could be useful.
