Placements and Internships

1.5

  • There are few companies which hires mainly CS & IT students only. The single company on which they rely on is Infosys. Only Infosys is the mass recruiter.
  • Overall placement percentage is nearly 15% approx. The average salary package is Rs 22000/- per month.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

2.5

  • Hostel fee is more than Rs 75000 per annum.
  • Food quality of hostel is very poor. If you complain about food they will reply you that your hostel fee is not including foodings. Many students use to go canteen for food.
  • Infrastructure structure is very good but one have to pay a large amount of money for using that under strict rules. Bus facility is provided by college but at the rate of Rs 24000 per annum even if you resides beside of college. They use to say that they have wi-fi campus but No any day scholar have right to use wi-fi in the campus. No wi-fi facility is available in campus. Otherwise everything is fine.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

  • The minimum eligibility criterion is 60% in all i.e in 10th & 12th.
  • You can get admission through UPSEE entrance exam or by giving entrance exam of college itself.

Academics and Faculty

1

  • Rules are very strict in PSIT and if anyone have broken the rules the college management will impose huge fine on that student. They impose fine even on attendance. If your attendance is below 90%,you have to pay fine whereas AKTU has made rule that college can impose fine only when attendance is below 75%. Class timing is from 9:00 am to 4:45pm. A lot of exams have to be given but projects are less.
  • Method of teaching is conventional type. They emphasize on making notes and mugging up the notes for good score but students lags in practical knowledge.
  • Overall experience in college is poor as it gives you degree but no practical knowledge.

Fees and Scholarships

1

  • Course fee is very much high nearly Rs 1,20,000 per annum for day scholars and hostel fee is Rs 75000 per annum.
  • No scholarship is there. Even they stopped awarding those students who have scored 80+ percentage and 100% attendance. I don't know if anyone get scholarship from college side.
  • For scholarship,students rely on U.P. Government.
  • Of course loan is needed for paying the fee because any middle-class family cannot afford this much of amount. I have no idea about that how easy to get loans as I was a fee waiver student and my fee was paid by U.P. Government.

Clubs and Associations

1

  • Only education is provided by PSIT. If you are good at any sport it will be curse if you are in PSIT. No game period is there, no free time to refresh yourself, no any club is there. Only two canteens are there where you can go only in lunch hours. If you have gone there at any other time, your attendance will be blocked. College life is worst at PSIT

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The very first criteria for getting admission is that one should have good marks on the 10th and 12th, also great for communication skills. There will be an entrance exam and interview for you to get into your desired stream. You should know your facts about the main subjects and then you are good to go for the admission.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria during my time were based on AKTU Entrance Exam, which was conducted throughout the state for all students. When I cleared my Entrance exam, the next step was counseling which is basically done on the AKTU site, where you can fill for your choice of college and branch. You will get maximum 3 rounds for this counseling (which was during my time). The next step was to go to the college for On-spot counseling, where first of all, you will be interviewed with the admission handling department, and then after you are done with all the procedures, you have to follow the admission step by submitting your important documents to the admission department.
