Placements and Internships
- Sorry, I haven't done any internship till now. My course doesn't require any till now. My primary focus is to understand the subject well and go for research
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- Hostel is the big issue in Assam University. I didn't get a seat in hostel and now it is costing me big money.
- However, the projects are important and as I don't stay in hostel, I don't get internet facility while at PG. So it's a problem
- As far as wifi and lab are concerned, it can be classified as satisfactory.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- The university had its own entrance exam.
- Well, they never revealed the cutoffs, they just released the number of students selected.
Academics and Faculty
- Class starts from 9am to 5pm.
- Well, I would never complaint about any teacher. They give their best and hence we try to take anything we can pick in the class.
- Overall it's good.
Fees and Scholarships
- The formal costs of my university is around Rs 20000 year. However informal cost is more than lakh per year. All books are not available in the library. So it's hard to get materials.
- There are around 89 students in my dept. who are pursuing Msc(including both Juniors and Seniors). None of them receive any scholarships unless they belong to minority and have applied before.
Clubs and Associations
- We celebrate Tech fest and Sports week on February every year. It lasts about a week and its pretty good.
- Students are good. People come here to study from all over India.
