Sakshi Barak's Review on Jesus & Mary College, [JMC] New Delhi

Jesus and Mary College was the first college in Delhi University to start a Placement Cell in 1998. Starting with one company, today there are around 36 reputed companies which hold on-campus interviews for placements. 

Internship opportunites are available round the year but for that one has to apply off campus.

Alumni network is also very good. There are various FaceBook pages connecting studnets with the Alumni students. 

• There are no hostel.
• But there are lucrative PG options outside college, Satya Niketan is one famous spot which is just at a distance of 10 minutes. Their cost is around INR 5000 per month. 
• Food in college is good and does'nt cost much, prices are slightly above average. Our Sev Puri is famous in the entire DU campus. 
• College infrasturcture is one of the best with a very spacious and wonderful library, canteen, Multi Purpose Hall etc. Right now, renovation work is going on. There is free Wi-Fi facility as well. 

• Classes usually start at 9:30 Am in the morning and goes on till 3pm. The teachers are extremely well versed with their subject matter and very helpful. After I month of studies, internals come up along with assignments on which we are graded and those grades are added to the final. At the end of 4 months, or completion of one semester, we have final semster exams.
• The overall experience is extremely helpful in learning. 

The course fee is INR 12,000 per year (which is highly subsidized and very less as compared to private universities) 

There are many scholarships available to the students. 

• Students in need of financial assistance may apply on the prescribed form available at the Accounts Office. 
• A Book Bank Scheme is in operation for needy students. The application form in this respect is available  from the Librarian.
• There are number of scholarship opportunities available for students.  These scholarships recognise merit and talent of students. Students may apply for the Scholarships at the beginning of the academic year.

Women Development Centre popularly known as WDC

National Sport organization popularly known as NSO

Additional socities may be joined as per interest and they include:

Fine Arts Society, Indian Dance Society, AICUF, Mudra-Dance and Choreography, Daastan-Art and Architecture etc 

Every society has it's own annual celebration. The college has it's annual celebration by the name of MONTAGE.
