BMU’s compelling vision of a practical and relevant education – one that bridges the gap between the classroom and the workplace – is reflected in the stress it lays on internships and projects. In fact, structured learning opportunities at industry locations are a key component of BMU’s academic DNA.

BMU presents opportunities for all students at the School of Engineering & Technology, the School of Commerce, and the School of Management to experience industry first hand. This will not only help differentiate BMU students from graduates and postgraduates from other universities, it will also help enhance their employability prospects.

Through the programme duration, you will gain invaluable practical experience by way of the Practice School, an internship concept first popularized by MIT, USA. You will get to interact with industry leaders and be exposed to companies doing cutting edge work. During your stay at BMU, you will spend between 10 to 28 weeks, which is around 10 to 22% of your contact hours, interning with industry and gaining real world knowledge

Housing

The campus is equipped to house 600 students at this moment in the state of art multistoried hostel designed by HOK Architects. Rooms include three, two and single seater rooms. The hostels have common areas in each floor with entertainment and recreational facilities.

Dining

The campus houses a dining space managed by Sodexo India that provides the best cuisine for the students. There is also a cafeteria in the campus.

Student Health

A nurse and a visiting doctor are available to meet the medical needs of students on campus.

Campus Safety

The college is committed to enhancing the quality of your life by maintaining an open yet safe and secure environment. The gated campus is ringed by high walls and has two entry/exit points that are manned by round-the-clock security staff. Closed circuit TVs and intruder alarm systems are in place at strategic points around the campus. The campus has a 24-hour uniformed security patrol service that can respond quickly to any security or emergency matter. Ragging and bullying are banned; as are consumption of liquor, drugs and other intoxicants. The entire campus is a non-smoking zone. Fire safety measures have been introduced in all the campus buildings.

Sports facilities

The campus offers a slew of recreational, fitness and sporting facilities. Besides indoor sporting facilities, the campus has tennis, volleyball, basketball, and badminton courts; a gymnasium and a cricket-cum-football field. Qualified and experienced sports instructors are at hand to oversee.

The classes start at 9:30 AM and ends at 5:30 PM .There are different innovative projects given under Engineering,Workshop Practice and Physics.There are mid sem and end sem here.

Teaching method is awesome. Teachers engage you with a lot of activities and make you understand the concepts very well.

• We have 20 clubs in our campus as per the following. The extra-curricular life of students at BMU is organized under the three Boards and over 20 clubs and societies: Board of Cultural and Creative Activities (BCCA, Board of Technical Societies (BTS) and Board of Sports Activities (BSA). BCCA oversees clubs and societies related to performing arts, fine arts, literature, debating and public speaking, women empowerment, culinary and photography. BTS oversees clubs and societies related to Robotics, Automobile, Computer Machinery, Science and Technology, BSA organizes all intra and inter institutional sporting events and competitions. Each of the Boards include Board Supervisors who are senior faculty, elected student representatives and faculty club mentors of different clubs. They have a pre-defined annual budget that is managed by the Club Presidents under the guidance of the club mentors. The objective of the structure is to facilitate the students to take complete charge of all matters of extra-curricular and residence life and also lead inter-institutional associations on their own.
