I have done a few internships during my college days however they were not from college
The college has recently started their own campus placements where companies like Wipro come to hire students into their BPO with an average pay of Rs 15000
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
1
The college has no hostel facilities of its own
However, students can stay at other hostels which have pretty low fees
The college has no PG options.
Student would have to apply and sit for the entrance under the University.
The food at the canteen is mediocre and prices are reasonable
The quality of the classrooms are pitiful. They are not well maintain and there are no WiFi facilities.
The library is still a little maintain. There are no dining halls
Academics and Faculty
2.5
I studied in Jogamaya Devi College which was a morning college whose timing was from 6:15AM to 11:00AM in summer and 5:45am to 11:30AM in winter
Our professors for the honours subjects were very good and were pretty regular with the classes although it was not the same for the professors who taught us electives
Attendance was not very strict but we made sure that we attended atleast 60% of the honours classes
The qulaity of teaching provided in our honours classes were undoubtedly very good.
Our professors took special care and made sure that all concepts should be clear to us
Fees and Scholarships
1
The fees were very minimal as it is a state run university. For my course it was around Rs 120 per month. Admission fees of around Rs 3000 were to be paid each year
There were scholarship opportunities for very bright students, given to an average of 10 to 15 students. Since the fees were not very high so education loans are not required in most cases for a state run college
