Placements and Internships

4

  • I have done internships but they were my own findings and not college provided. Internship are one bad sight for this college.
  • Placements go on very nicely , with combined efforts from TPO and students alike.
  • The placements records are as high as 94%. The only problem is the average package is below Rs 5 Lakhs per annum and highest salary goes to like Rs 30 lakhs per annum.
  • Alumni network is strong in AIT , Administration and Alumni work together to find better options.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

4.5

  • There are around 4 hostels with a combined capacity of around 1200.
  • The college is near army land so not so many of PGs are available.
  • The food is a very nice factor in this college. Though you will find students complaining but actually compared to different colleges the food quality is very high as per the rates.
  •  Infrastructure regarding the Academic block is above average.

Academics and Faculty

3.5

  • The Class timings are hectic. Accoding to the management you need to be there throughout the college hours. The timing are usually from 9:30 am to 4:15 pm with two breaks. Exams are based on the Pune university Pattern. The labs are very well equipped and helpful for whatever purpose you want them. Being Army college the rules are tried to be kept iron clad.
  • Quality and methodology is Average i would say. The administration takes into account the anonymous feedbacks for faculty so as to grade and make changes.
  • Experience here is good. The only thing that matters is how much of an effort do you put in.

Fees and Scholarships

4

  • The only tution fees is Rs 99000 per year .
  • Scholarships are a selling point in this institution almost everyone is entitled to some or the other scholarship.
  • Loans are easily available and any bank will do, But it all depends do you want it.

Clubs and Associations

3.5

  •  I am the Debate and Club Secretary for the year 2015-2016 . The student council works very well and healthily regarding all the aspects of the college life. There are many many clubs that a student can enroll in and hence enjoy the next coming years.
  • College life in AIT is fun if you let it and a burden if you cringe.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The admission procedure for in Army Institute of technology is purely based on JEE MAIN normal rank (AIR). One who is eligible for jee mains and whose parent are in army serving or retired are eligible for taking admission in this college. After filling up the jee mains form, one has to fill the college admission form from the college website. After the announcement of jee main rank, a college will upload the merit list (AIT merit no.)of first 900-950 students(based on the availability of seats). Then students are called on their respective reporting day and ask for the branch they want to choose, once the seats are filled in the respective branch student cannot opt for that branch until a vacancy left.

Academics & Faculty : Its a fantastic curriculum. Students should have option for opting extra subjects of their interests in a semester. for eg. a student can study 6 or 7 subjects in a semester and request university to evaluate him on those subjects like the way we appear for our regular subjects.
