Placements and Internships

2.5

  • I haven't done any internship yet.
  • Companies visiting the college for placements are mainly Mahindra and Mahindra, L&T, Accenture, Cognizant, Suzlon, etc.
  • The average salary is around Rs. 3-4.5 lakh per annum. The percentage of batch getting placed is less than 10% for Mechanical Engineering.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

4

  • There is one hostel for boys and one for girls. Fees is about Rs. 60,000 per year.
  • There are many other options for PG's outside college and the cost is approximately same as that of college (rather lower).
  • Students often complain about the college food. This cost is included in hostel fees.
  • Classrooms are clean, labs are well maintained and libraries equipped with a lot of books. Other infrastructure is okay.

Academics and Faculty

4.5

  • Lectures are conducted as per schedule (From 10am to 5pm). Unit Tests are conducted before every University exam. There are many extra curricular activities in which the college participates like SUPRA, BAJA, Gokart, etc. Further it has an annual technical event - 'Tech-tonic' where students get an opportunity of campaigning and improving their communication skills.
  • Assignmentso are periodically given for practice. Some of the faculty members are really experienced and provide good quality of teaching. Sports is also encouraged.

Fees and Scholarships

1.5

  • The annual course fees is Rs. 1,00,000.
  • Few scholarships are available like OBC which can be availed by reserved category people.
  • All those fulfilling the criteria for OBC get scholarships. There is no scholarship for Open category irrespective of the marks.
  • Education loans are taken by some students (from Bank of India).

Entrance Exams & Admissions : To be eligible for 4 years degree course of Mechanical Engineering you should secure about 89-90% in HSC exam and to be eligible for 3 years for direct second-year degree course of Mechanical Engineering you should secure 83-85% in diploma in the same stream. There is not any admission exam as admission is based on cut off and pure merit basis. The admission process is simple and the guidelines are provided by the administrator during admission.
