Placements and Internships

The college is very good regarding the placements. Well known companies like TCS, Accenture, L&T, Persistent, IBM, Amazon, Godrej and many others come for placement.
Almost 50-70% people get placed. Godrej gives a package for Rs 8 lakhs per annum for mechanical branch. for other branches the average package is between Rs 3-4 lakhs per annum. The college is known for it's Civil and Mechanical Engineering branch. Students from this college have been placed in many big companies and are at high positions.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

College doesn't provide hostel. Students live in shared aparments available nearby or have to travel from some other place.
The canteen is located in basement. So, it's sort of suffocating there with classroom benches to sit on. The food is not that good but you can go to a number of nearby hotels or dhabbas present. There's also a xerox centre in a corner in the canteen.
College infrastructure is very good as far as classrooms, labs, lobby and cleanliness are concerned. But it does not have a big campus. there is enough space between the college building and the gate for the students to play games like basketball, football, cricket, etc. All computer labs have Internet Connectivity. It also has a Gym on the first floor but it has not been opened since I came here. The Library is very huge with adequate sitting space for more than 50 people. There's also a small space having magazines and daily newspapers.

Academics and Faculty

The college is very strict about the attendence and ID cards. As soon as you enter the gate you have to wear your I-card or the watchman will take your pass or will take you to the registrar. The class timings varies for different branches and divisions. I'm in third year computers. On some days we have classes from 9:00am or 11:00am to 4:30pm or 5:30pm. Overall the college is for about 7-8 hours. Till second year you don't have much projects to do. So it's a great time for learning different languages because it's difficult afterwards as you don't get enough time. After around 1 and half months from the start of semester you'll have your first unit test and then after another 1 and half months, the second unit test. When Second unit is over, you will have your HOD submissions. Assigments are also given before the unit tests. Normally there are only 2 assignments for each subject during a semester and maybe 1 or 2 subjects don't have assignments.
A few teaching staff is very good. Like really good and you don't wanna miss their lectures. They will cover all the concepts and clear all your doubts frequently giving real world examples. But some others are not so good. Infact you don't want to come in the bad light of these teachers if you want your submissions to be checked. You can also complain of such a teacher to HOD.
Overall the college is good for students who seriously want to excel in their respective field but there is not much here for someone who wishes to enjoy their college life.

Fees and Scholarships

Fees for Open Category: First year:Rs 101450 per year, Second year-Last year:Rs 98950 per year. The reservation category students have lower fees ranging between Rs 10k to Rs 55k per year.
The scholar students can get merit scholarships. Other SC,ST,NT amd minority scholarships are also there.
Almost every student gets scholarship who applies.
Student's can also take loan for their four year engineering course which are easily availed from any valid bank. Make sure to apply for it before two or three weeks from the payment day and let you department head know about it. You need a bonafide for it which you'll get from the college office. Yo'll have to keep the fee receipt with the bank. Do search for a bank with minimum interest on education loan. If belong to open category then your loan would be for about Rs 4 lakhs which you'll pay when you start earning after college.

Clubs and Associations

Every department has it's own committee. CATT, IEEE, E-cell are some of the committee.
MILESTONES is the annual cultural fest that is celebrated every year usually in January. Usual programmes involving dance, drama and singing competitions. Prize distribution is also takes place. There is also a technical fest every year named TECHNITUDE. Every branch has it's own set of competitions arrange with associated entry fees and rewards. Students from different colleges also come and participate.
The life is just normal college one but with not much fun to do except for fest and cultural days.
