College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

4.5

  • Around 15-20 hostels are there, and hostels are in good condition and my hostel fee is around Rs 2000-3000 per month with food(mess) charges.
  • There are many PGs outside the college but they are than that of college hostels and their cost is Rs 5000-6000 per month with food.
  • The food in college is good and cost per meal is around Rs 50 per meal.
  • Quality of classrooms, labs is good, libraries is best, dinner halls is fine, WiFi is best and others is also good.

Academics and Faculty

3

  • Daily routine of class timings, projects, exams and assignments is ok ok.
  • Quality and method of teaching is not so good.
  • Overall experience in college is ok.

Fees and Scholarships

3.5

  • Course fees is around Rs 70,000 per year.
  • Scholarships might be available but there is lack of awareness about it in students.
  • Loans are not required but there are options for it available in bank inside our university campus.

Clubs and Associations

3

  • There is a club formed recently in our UIET named GeekHub in which we can join various courses of computer sciences and the best thing is that in this group our seniors teaches us what they have learned and experienced previously.
  • Many events happen here like fests(cultural) and seminars so it is good.
  • Life in the college is interesting and good as compared to other colleges.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria for an engineering college is JEE Main. I was a dropper, I prepared for IIT but due to bad score got UIET. The admission takes place in 3 counselling, the toppers are admitted first. The entrance exam for getting into University Institue of Engineering and Technology is JEE MAIN. 3 counselling are followed by an open counselling in which almost every student gets admission. Here in UIET, we have 120 seats in every branch of engineering every year. The typical cutoffs vary year by year. But I got admission in CSE even when I scored 76 marks.

Academics & Faculty : I like my college, everything here is scheduled properly and is managed under good hands. Also the education or knowledge we earn is far more than what any college offers these days. The quality is really well equipped, with the salt of good teachers, good The quality is really well equipped, with the salt of good teachers, good infrastructure and good facilities, finally leading to do something good enough.
