Placements and Internships
- Not yet, i am still in my second semester and companies are still coming to campus for summer internship placements. A recent one was deloitte.
- Mostly marketing and finance are the prevelant areas where companies are taking up students, though recently HR is also seen hiring some good talent from our college.
- Average salary goes around Rs. 6.5 lac per annum, highest uptill now has been Rs. 21 lac per annum in the area of HR. Percentage of batch getting placed is around 80%, rest of them go in for their own startups or established family businesses.
- There has been a good alumini network data base maintained with the college, and they are being regularly invited to deliver lectures and interact with the students in the work-field where there are more opportunities lined up ahead.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- I am not a hostler, but the entire campus has a commendable infrastructure which is a must have. It has all the facilities and a good administration in place taking care of the premises.
- Hostlers have to buy their own food everyday, since there is no mess facility available. There are a number of food joints and canteens available and 1 can have a meal at any of the food place. There are both good and not so good places to eat with varied costs from low to high. Some commercial eating joints like CCD, dominoz pizza, Subway are all within the campus area.
- The quality of classrooms is good, well lit and fully airconditioned with comfortable sitting and easy faculty visibility. We have a central library which is a bit far from our building of MBA department, so it becomes a little difficult to go there everytime we get a free time during the day. Wi-fi connectivity is good and is accessible in 80% premises. Rest overall infrastructure is good, but far too stretched, have to take long walks for every little thing.
Academics and Faculty
- The class routine is good and on time. There are good number of projects both on and off campus coming up every now and then.
Class presentations are an imbibed part of every subject. - The quality and method of teaching is well equiped with integrtaion with powerpoint slides and case studies.
- The overall experience has been good so far. The college gives enough chances to participate in numerous events and competetions.
There is also a dedicated online portal where every student has his/her daily account maintained and all the information about latest happenings in and around the university area is updated over there.
Fees and Scholarships
- Course fee is around Rs. 5,30,000 per year(2 semesters)
- The top 3 scorers in all the programmes get a 50% waiver in their fee.
- I think most of the students in my college are all well-off, and it would be a rare case for anyone applying for an education loan.
Clubs and Associations
- There are 2 major fetival times, Sangathan and The Amity Youth fest (AYF) which is exactly like a big festival time for the entire university.
A lot of other events also keep on going all through the year and we get alerts of the latest happenings from the dedicated portal...Amizone having personalized account for every Amitian. - College life is tight scheduled, since maks are associated with attendance, and complete debarred in case there is a short attendance case.
