Placements and Internships
- I am currently in the first year of my bachelors, and hence haven't done any internships.
- All the major IT, Business, Marketing, Applied Science, Architecture, commercial companies hire from Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- There are two hostels at Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi - one for boys and the other for girls. Each hostel has more than enough space to accommodate a number of freshers each year. I don't know what is the hostel fee, since I am not a hostelier.
- The college has numerous canteens serving various sorts of foods, but what remains constant is the good-quality of the foods. The food items aren't very costly, they're all at reasonable prices starting from INR 10 - INR 50 per item.
- Classrooms, labs and libraries are all very well maintained, and fully updated with all necessary items. Key infrastructure consists of Wi-Fi, open green spaces, and a sports complex.
Academics and Faculty
- The class timings at Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi 9 am - 1 pm with an exception of Tuesday (9am-4.30pm) and Saturday (2pm-5.30pm). The teachers of Jamia Millia Islamia have redefined the word teaching. Not only do they give us the best of their knowledge, but also push the boundaries of teaching by giving equal importance to practical education.
- Since the time that I took my first step in JMI, I've experienced a blissful pool of knowledge and opportunities.
Fees and Scholarships
- The course fee at Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi is Rs. 11,500/- per year.
- There are some plenty good scholarships. I know about only one which gives the students scoring above 75% in the high school exams a cash amount of Rs. 25,000/-.
- I don't know the average number of students that get scholarship.
- Sometimes, for students with poor financial support, loans are needed. Educational Loans are (on a scale of 1-5) a level 3 easy to avail. Normal loans are even tougher to avail. Loans can be availed from a number of banks. JMI is in collaboration with a government-run bank, so that transaction becomes easier for students.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : First of all, to get admitted in architecture you must have Maths in your +2 level of examination, as well as you should be good at sketching and aptitude then you are eligible for this course The entrance is now common through AIEEE exam (B.ARCH) but you have to fill a form to be eligible in counselling from Jamia. I think cutoff depends on year, but it is what you have to get to enter in top colleges.
