Academics & Faculty
Know more
10 /10

All the academics are of top class. But when it comes to the cultural activities or fests LSR is average. Quality of teachings and everything related to academics will be the highest class you could get.

Fees & Scholarship
Know more
10 /10

The course fee per year is Rs.16000, which is pretty much cheap. Scholarship options are easily available to all the students in need. Loans are not necessary.

Placements & Alumni Network
Know more
9 /10

I have done a couple of internships. Since I was a fresher none of the internships were paid. Coming from an arts major, I mainly did internships like research internships, campus ambassador internships etc. Since I was a part of covid batch and 2 years of classes were online. The alumni network is very negligible.

Infrastructure & Transportation
Know more
7 /10

There is only 1 hostel and students can only stay there for 1 year. Admission to hostel is also very stringent, preference is given to highest marks and non-general category students. Seats are also very limited. The fees per month will be around ₹7000. PGs are very expensive, yet easily available. The other option is to live in an apartment which would be feasible with more people. Food in college is very good. There is a cafe, Nescafe and Mother diary within the campus. Cost is minimal. Begins from ₹30. There is a variety of options too. There is no air conditioning in college except in library. There is college wifi but it's not accessible in every part of the college.

Clubs & Associations
Know more
5 /10

There are various student societies. Debating society, MUN, dance society, and dramsoc are the popular ones. The festival side of college is average. It maybe because of the aftermath of covid that the number of fests have gone down. I have heard LSR used to be more vibrant with fest before covid. Academics wise the college serves the best.

Eligibility Criteria & Admission Process
Know more

The admission process for my batch was based on cut offs, but from this year the admission process has changed entirely. The admission is based on CUCET exam. For my batch, the first cut off was 100% for Political Science course.

B.A. Journalism (Hons.), batch of 2016 9/10
ACADEMICS & FACULTY: Lady Shri Ram College for Women introduced a three year Honours programme in Journalism in July 1995. In this short span of time, this course has developed into one of the most coveted undergraduate programmes for potential journalists in the country. The teaching methodology incorporates lectures, workshops and seminars, and emphasizes independent projects and extensive written assignments. The Principal and some members of the college faculty oversee the programme and deliver lectures from time to time in their special disciplines. A Co-coordinator assists in assigning and evaluating projects, conducts regular appraisals and facilitates the practical components of the programme. It is the attempt at LSR to imbibe the teaching-learning process with the kind of sensitivity that reconciles excellence with humanity, a pedagogy that can break free of rhetoric, shatter myths and rescue imagination and intuition using them as resources to conceive and initiate change. Bachelor of Arts [BA] (Political Science), batch of 2023 9/10

Students who completed their senior secondary (12th Board) from any renowned institution with a very high percentage (<95%) will only be able to get admission in LSR. The application process begins by filling out an application process. If you match the eligibility criteria and then if you fit in, you will get admission by paying yearly fees.

LSR is reputed to be the top ranked placement college in India. More than 200 students in 2021 got placed in companies like Mckinsey etc. Usually business consulting, sales, IT, and several other companies come to LSR for placements.

Course fee is just a little over 12000 INR per year for BA Honours course. If we secure excellent percentage in our semester exams we can receive scholarships. I don\'t think one needs loans, as LSR is a government affiliated institution and is very cheap compared to private institutions.

LSR is the best college one ...
