Placements and Internships

4.5

I have done a couple of internships. Since I was a fresher none of the internships were paid. Coming from an arts major, I mainly did internships like research internships, campus ambassador internships etc. Since I was a part of covid batch and 2 years of classes were online. The alumni network is very negligible.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

3.5

There is only 1 hostel and students can only stay there for 1 year. Admission to hostel is also very stringent, preference is given to highest marks and non-general category students. Seats are also very limited. The fees per month will be around ₹7000. PGs are very expensive, yet easily available. The other option is to live in an apartment which would be feasible with more people. Food in college is very good. There is a cafe, Nescafe and Mother diary within the campus. Cost is minimal. Begins from ₹30. There is a variety of options too. There is no air conditioning in college except in library. There is college wifi but it's not accessible in every part of the college.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

The admission process for my batch was based on cut offs, but from this year the admission process has changed entirely. The admission is based on CUCET exam. For my batch, the first cut off was 100% for Political Science course.

Academics and Faculty

5

All the academics are of top class. But when it comes to the cultural activities or fests LSR is average. Quality of teachings and everything related to academics will be the highest class you could get.

Fees and Scholarships

5

The course fee per year is Rs.16000, which is pretty much cheap. Scholarship options are easily available to all the students in need. Loans are not necessary.

Clubs and Associations

2.5

There are various student societies. Debating society, MUN, dance society, and dramsoc are the popular ones. The festival side of college is average. It maybe because of the aftermath of covid that the number of fests have gone down. I have heard LSR used to be more vibrant with fest before covid. Academics wise the college serves the best.
