Sumitra Saha's Review on SIBM Hyderabad - Symbiosis Institute of Business Management

I interned with GetMyUni, an edtech company based out of Bangalore. It was a paid internship but due to the pandemic, most of us were not paid as things were not healthy around. But, learning and growth was there. Many of them had their internships canceled due to the unexpected challenges we had to face during those times. However, things were managed later. Mostly startups like edtech and a few MNCS, banks, and financial institutions with roles in sales, analyst, researcher, associate etc. hire. The average salary is 5-6 LPA, and it may go as high as 10-14 LPA. Around 70-75% percentage of the batch is placed every year. The Alumni network is great and helpful in all aspects needed.

There are 4 hostels, and the fee is not calculated monthly but for 6 months. It turns out to be around 45000 in total with fooding and lodging. It is a residential program, so there is no PGs around the campus. The food quality is good, and there is a variety of 4 meals per day. There is a canteen as well. The night canteen is also there. The infrastructure is great and eco-friendly with a well-equipped gym, libraries, a huge mess, Wi-Fi, labs, auditorium, and playground for various games. The amphitheatre is a great attraction.

Candidates must complete their graduation from any particular background from any recognized university. The admission process is simple and comprises an admission entrance exam and GDPI ( Group Discussion and Personal Interview) round. The entrance exam for SIBM Hyderabad is SNAP. The cut-offs vary every year. Keep an eye on the website after the official website declares the merit list. If qualified, candidates are called to campus for GDPI round. Due to Covid, the process may be conducted online, as well.

The classes start from 9:30 a.m. to 4:50 p.m. with a 50 minutes lunch break and two short breaks of 10 mins in between. The culture is engaged from morning to evening with projects, assignments, and other activities. The lecturers are highly qualified and responsible in delivering the best. The campus is great, and one can have a good time playing and enjoying games and other entertainment. The overall experience is awesome.

The course fee is 7 LPA per year. Not aware of scholarships. Yes, the majority of students opt for loans. The college has contacts regarding the same, but I took personal help for the study loan. Please contact the college for details.

There are cultural clubs and academic clubs. A number of activities are held throughout the year like sports, international student's day, fests, annual meet, alumni meet, farewell, freshers, teacher's day, Ganesh Chaturthi, Diwali, Holi, and many others. College life is so engaging with academics and entertainment on balance. That's how we become managers!
