Placements and Internships
During my final year I did an internship with Xebia, and later on during the campus placements I was offered jobs from different companies as I interviewed for them. The packages were around 5-6 LPA. I compared the packages and went for Xebia as I had already done Internship there and I liked the working environment and I was already familiar with the work. The university had a very crucial role to play in my career and I'm grateful to have chosen SRMUH for my studies.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
The food supplies are of good quality. Infrastructure issues were never a matter of concern. Fully Air conditioned Campus. There are four elevators available. Cleanliness and Hygiene were maintained for the Washrooms. There was easy access to water for everyone.
There are two hostels, one for boys and one for girls. The university also provided bus facilities for those who needed it. SRMUH is incredibly great in terms of resources, it has high tech laboratories, Wi-Fi internet, sports courts, a hostel, two canteens, and a sick room.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
I had to take SRMJEE to get qualified for the B.Tech programme, the forms and other details were easily available on the website. Also the counsellor from the University kept calling me on a regular basis and helped me get through all of the formalities.
Academics and Faculty
The lectures for my batch were never too serious; we always had fun during the lectures and studied at the same time. The faculty was very frank with us which helped the conversations to grow. SRMUH has the best faculty!
The college hours were comfortable, not very hectic. We had a timetable according to which we scheduled our day. We were free to skip classes to some extent but I personally tried to take all the lectures I could, because of the interesting teaching techniques of the faculty.
Fees and Scholarships
The fees for my programme were around 8.5 Lac for four years. Also, there were some scholarship criteria, you can get the scholarship according to your aggregate percentage scored in your SSC and HSC.
Other than the scholarship there was also some financial aid provided by the University as a loan. In my case I didn’t have to get any loan, so I cannot say much about that.
Clubs and Associations
There are different clubs for the incubations, we can choose any one of our choices and start training with the club.
There are a lot of events taking place.
