University conducts various events or sessions with alumni, which helps students to have a better understanding of industrial life that is being experienced by their senior freshers, which also helps them to choose a proper profession by understanding different job profiles at basic level.

Admission in Chandigarh University does not require different entrance exams. For all the different courses available in the campus, only one entrance exam is applicable which is conducted by University itself that is CUCET, Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test. Students can attempt for entrance exam twice to increase their chances of greater percent of scholarship opportunity. Typical cutoff score for this exam is 40 out of 100, which confirms their admission in University. 

Classes are conducted on CUIMs Blackboard, a standard interface for students and teachers. The classes are taken, notes are provided, and various internal assessments are carried out, such as Surprise tests, Discussion forums, Worksheets, pre-lab and post-lab quizzes, etc.
The classes usually start by 9:30 and are continued maximum till 4:10. The quality of teaching is excellent as the faculty members have both industrial and academic exposure, which helps students gain more practical knowledge and theoretical understanding. The teaching method depends on the subject that has to be taught based on the practicality of the subject.
