Placements and Internships
- There are alot of companies that bring internship opportunities for students of all courses in Hansraj College. I undertook three of the internships with Godrej Properties Ltd, Fraty, and My Study Buddy.
- As far as the placements are concerned, major consulting, IT, marketing and auditing firms like Bain and Co, ZS Associates, Accenture, EY, Deloitte, KPMG, DE Shaw and BCG etc., come to recruit students.
- The average package of the college is INR 7 LPA, the highest being 19.25 LPA, with 200+ students getting placed every year.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- Hansraj college right now has a hostel for only boys and not girls. The hostel fee for boys is genuine and affordable. However, most students take a PG nearby due to a lack of options.
- There are numerous options in PGs available in and around the North Campus of DU. However, their monthly fees are very high and might not be affordable for some students. Moreover, even though the PGs have genuine rooms, they are extraordinarily small and highly rated compared to the facilities.
- The college canteen has decent food. However, hygiene is the main concern since the canteen kitchen does not look clean. But the food has decent prices, so many people find it convenient to do their morning breakfasts and lunches there.
- The overall infrastructure of the college is well maintained. We have AC classrooms, tiled floors, a good amount of green spaces and open grounds in the college. A wifi facility is also provided.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- Admission to Hansraj College, University of Delhi requires the candidate to clear the specified cut-off. There was no entrance exam for admission during the academic year 2019-20.
- However, the entrance has been introduced now. The first cut-off for the Economics Honours course in Hansraj College (in the academic year 2019-20) for the general category was 98.5, and admissions closed at 97.25 in the fourth cut-off.
Academics and Faculty
- We have online classes of all the subjects through Microsoft Teams. Every assignment and study material is uploaded on this app, and the students have easy access to it. Classes are more or less regular. Projects are given depending on the practicality and requirement of the subject in hand.
- The college has many qualified and professional professors with a good knowledge of the subject they are teaching.
Fees and Scholarships
- Hans Raj College, Delhi University Fee Structure. The course fee is about INR 21,000 per year.
- Scholarships are available to students based on merit and need.
- 50-100% fee concessions are offered based on the annual income and background of the candidate.
Clubs and Associations
- The college has numerous societies, including Enactus, 180 Degrees Consulting, dance societies, dramatics and debating societies, marketing societies, and others.
- These societies organise events and competitions, which sees the participation of students from all over DU.
- We have fests in the even sem of every year.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria for Economics Hons. in any Delhi University College are passing intermediate with a decent score(50%+) and having Maths subject in class 12th. Talking about admission procedure, first, you need to register on DU's website, then wait for the release of the cutoffs and finally, if you think you've made it into any of the colleges, apply for the admission, wait for the confirmation and at last submit the important documents. There's no entrance exam for the course as such till date. Cutoffs for this course are generally skyrocketing due to its immense demand and perks offered. Specifically talking about the Year 2020, in which I enrolled, the cutoffs for General category students for Hansraj College were between 97.75-98.25. Although there were five cutoff lists released, it got closed in the 3rd itself for the General quota.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : The student must pass the 12th grade with good percentage. The cutoff is around 75%.
