Placements and Internships

3.5

I currently am an intern at one of the more prestigious companies of India, Jindal Realty Ltd. We are currently developing a township of 200 acres, with various building typologies to be developed within the compound. Of course, the college didn't provide internships to me, but they seriously keep updates about every student and ensure that everyone gets to do the internship and create their portfolios in time. So it might be known to you that an Internship in Architecture is not a choice but compulsion and is included as a semester, which is the best thing about it.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

To get admission to any architecture college, you need to qualify NATA Examination. The same is the case with this college. After that, they take a counseling session to learn about our basic understanding of the field. Although, Nata Qualification score changes every year, when I qualified, it was 70/200.

Academics and Faculty

4

There are long lectures (in a good way) that include theory and design. The subjects that do not have a design spectrum in them, such as Computers, Moral Values, have small lectures of 1-2 hrs. Teachers do put in a lot of effort to make things clear to the students. Some teachers, however, are better than others. Some teachers are IIT alumni, while some are SPA alumni, and our director, sir, has done PHD from Spa, so you get that exposure as well. Overall, college experience depends on your choice. Suppose you are looking for a college to serve as you desire to compete in inter-college sports competitions, etc. In that case, you are advised to look elsewhere, but if you are looking to excel in your academics and clearing your fundamentals about the field, you're most welcome.

Fees and Scholarships

4.5

For the management quota, or the students who have not applied to the college through the Altu entrance examination, the fees are around 1.2 lakes per annum, but for the students who apply after qualifying for the AKTU EE, get scholarships on their marks/ranks.

Clubs and Associations

3.5

There are not many student council bodies, student societies, or clubs not that our college involves. However, our college is affiliated with NASA, and we have also won ourselves a design citation (1rst prize). There are two major fests within college Maitryee and Sanket. College life, in general, is not like your Karan Johar representation of college/school, you can say that it is more or less like a school, but with exposure to greater things, self-dependency and you are answerable for yourself.
