Placements and Internships

2.5

  • The college does not offer any internships. However, on special request, they will allow us to take up full-time jobs in BPOs, start-ups or event management, depending on the student's capabilities.
  • Some of the companies that hire from the college are Deloitte, ICICI, Axis, IBM and Wipro. These companies hire BBA students for support roles in finance and BCom students for a tax analyst role.
  • The average salary packages range between INR 1.8 LPA to INR 4 LPA.
  • The Oxford alumni network is a tightly knit pack, and most often, the graduates end up joining companies either together or on a reference basis.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

2.5

  • There is one hostel situated in JP Nagar, Bangalore. However, I'm not sure of the fees and amenities.
  • PGs and co-living spaces surround the college. It is in the heart of the most serene part of town, HSR Layout.
  • Food in college is reasonably priced and is tasty. The average cost is between INR 50 to INR 100 based on students' preferences. The portions are pretty decent.
  • Classrooms are rustic, some with an industrial feel, but the campus is flawed too. Labs have all the necessary resources, and the library has reference and course books for all streams.
  • There is no Wi-Fi on the premises, and the usage of phones is prohibited. Elevators are often crowded and inaccessible.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

The eligibility criteria depend on the courses. For my course, I had to score a minimum of 40% in 10th and 12th and should have passed in all subjects.

Academics and Faculty

5

  • The classes begin at 9 AM but the teachers or students often go missing throughout the day.
  • The students feel stressed only during the exams; otherwise, the curriculum is relaxing and laid-back.
  • Projects and assignments are given periodically.
  • Oxford may not be in the top 10 colleges for BBA, but it has one of the best for teachers! Dr Jayasimha Reddy, Ms Chitra Rao, Ms Chakshu Mehta, Ms Sarita Bollamma are a few.
  • While the other colleges solely focus on preparing students for their professions, this college holistically prepares you for life. The philosophical approach that most teachers follow is something students can value and appreciate only after graduation.

3.5

  • The fees of the Oxford College of Business Management, [TOCBM] Bangalore is INR 50,000 per year.
  • The college provides full scholarships to the top three performers of every semester.
  • The students can avail loans from most of the national and private banks.

Clubs and Associations

2.5

  • The college has performance arts, theatre, sports and entrepreneur clubs.
  • The students are free to start a society or club based on representation and initiative.
  • Amethyst is an annual fest. The college also conducts a fresher's party.
  • There's also an annual intra department sports day along with an inter-department sports day.
  • ollege life is relaxed, stress-free and laid-back.
