Placements and Internships

Currently, I am doing an internship of a content writer with a stipend of INR 6000 per month. There are a variety of companies that approach college. Since it is a business school, the companies' key specialisation is also in Finance, Sales and Marketing, HR. The average salary is around INR 3 to 4 Lakhs per annum, and The highest salary offered is INR 10-12 Lakhs per annum.

Nearly 30-40% of students get placed every year.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

The hostels of the college is not upto the mark. The total hostel fee is INR 2.35 LPA. There are many other PG and hostels around the college, and the average cost is only around INR 16,000 per month.

The college has not compromised on the quality of the infrastructure they provide. The classroom are very spacious. The library of the college also has every book required in the course for the students to study. GD rooms are also where students can sit for their group project originality or any other work they have.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

The eligibility criteria for NMIMS is to have a minimum percentile of 60% in your 10+2 or any other equivalent examination. You must also have Mathematics or Statistics as a subject in 10+2.

NPAT is a common examination for NMIMS, and there is no typical cutoff for NPAT. This is a common examination for all the courses offered in NMIMS. It is according to the number of seats they have in the course. So higher the marks higher is a probability to get into the course.

Academics and Faculty

The daily routine in college is filled with class activities and projects. The class timings are from 8.30 am to 3 pm, and there are regular class tests and assignments given for the internal components. The end term examinations mostly take place in November and April.

The quality of teaching in NMIMS is extremely good, and the teachers put their best efforts into providing quality study material. There are interactive classes and holistic learning in the classroom.

There is no conventional teaching method, which is followed by projects and assignments back to the classes for maximum understanding.

My overall experience in college is great, and I'm satisfied with the faculty and overall quality of education.

There is atleast one student society that is congruent to the interest of students. The clubs take care not only of extracurricular activities but also incorporate educational skills and thinking too.

There are marketing, economics, finance, and entrepreneurship clubs. Besides, there are multiple societies in which students can foster their interests and hobbies.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : To get admission to Narsee Monjee, you need to give the university entrance exam NPAT. The exam tests your general knowledge along with few questions from the quantitative and numerical ability. The exam's overall difficulty is moderate, and the ideal score in this exam is considered to be 72+ out of 120. There are in total 120 questions, and all are multiple-choice questions(MCQ). There are three sections, each having 40 questions to answer.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : For NMIMS Bangalore the entrance test criteria were simple. A candidate needed a minimum of 60% marks in 12 standards. Overall the admission procedure was a good experience.
