Placements and Internships

Since BMS offers specialization in Finance or Marketing domains, the placements offered included Digital Marketing, Sales, Accounting and Taxation, Financial Analyst, and Business Development. The average salary offered was around Rs. 3 LPA. Internships were offered in order to help students understand their work domain. Companies such as Being Human, Bombay Stock Exchange, and Decathlon participated in the Internship and Job Fair, which was conducted.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

There are hostels with-in a walkable radius from the college. The food in college is of decent quality and includes lunch as well as snack meals. The classrooms are equipped with audio-visual systems. The library contains all the books which are referred to during the course. A reading hall accompanies it with a capacity of over 100 students. There are four computer labs that can be utilized by the students.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

The norms of admission for Bachelor of Management Studies comprised two steps- the first was to clear the Higher Secondary Exam (HSC) from any stream (Arts, Commerce or Science) with a score of atleast 35% and secondly, clear the admission cutoff percentage which was varied for different streams. By the end of the second list, the cutoffs were around 70% for Arts, 75% for Commerce, and 67% for Science stream.

Academics and Faculty

The classes are scheduled in the afternoon slot and are usually conducted for around five hours per day. Each subject that is taught comprises a group or individual assignment in the form of a presentation. Semester end exams are conducted semi-annually along with internal exams, which are conducted a couple of months before the semester exam. Attendance is given utmost importance. All members of the teaching staff are experts in their domain and have completed professional degrees. The environment is student-friendly and provides a good opportunity for personality development.

Fees and Scholarships

The course fee was around Rs. 25000/- per year at SIES at the College of Commerce and Economics, [SIESCE] Mumbai. It included the tuition fee along with other amenities. Students from economically weaker sections could apply for the scholarship, which was granted at the discretion of college authorities and board members. In order to encourage and promote education, cash rewards were offered to students who excelled in academics. Usually, loans are not needed in order to pursue this course.

Clubs and Associations

There are numerous clubs and association which strive to make college life enjoyable. The most prominent ones for literature are Speakers' Forum and Spectrum (college magazine). There are sports unions for different sports, cultural committees, accounting club, and Rotaract club, amongst others. There are two main college festivals, Fantasies, the cultural, festive and Disha, an educational fair. Other than these two, food festival, departmental festivals and annual prize distribution and annual day/sports day is also conducted to keep students rejuvenated throughout the year.
